Quick reflection

I registered for 2old2play in 2006 when I first bought my Xbox 360. I was somewhat active on the site for about 2 and a half years, during which time I made some great friends online and referred a number of people. I've even met and had dinner with a few other site members and referred some of my friends. Earlier this year, though, I just kind of stopped visiting. Had some real life issues going on which kept me off the 360 and PS3, plus my office blocking internet access didn't help at all.

With the dust in my life starting to settle (and the release of Modern Warfare 2) I've been coming back to the site more and more. Web site content blocker can't stop me from surfing on my phone! And in just the past few days I'm reminded of why I visited so many times in the first place. The community is great and ever growing. People here are like-minded and always willing to help out other gamers.

Most of all, I've noticed recently that (as with all sites with as much visibility as this one) the site attracts its share of trolls and Timmies. And our mods and admin really do a fantastic job at moderating without ruling with an unnecessary iron fist. They are understanding but don't tolerate the bullshit that you find on most other message boards. So for all the mods and doodirock in particular, thanks for everything you do to make this site what it is.

Well, I'm off to teabag some other older gamers. Then again, given my long hiatus from gaming, I may be on the receiving end.
