An overdue update

Well, it's been two years since I have updated or shared news with you all. And some extremely exciting things have happened in the last 5 months that I wanted to share with everyone. I know some of you have read on Facebook but not everyone uses it. My apologies for keeping somein the dark.

Pain, exhaustion and stress

That's basica;;y what this blog is all about. Stacy is doing her best not to go insane from sleep deprivation. I'm trying to keep things going here at home, which has lead to an enormous headache and both of us are extremely exhausted. Stacy's dad is still holding on. There have been a couple of mements where things looked grim, but the nurse has continued to tell us that he is following text signs that the end is near. He is down to about 100 pounds and his breathing is shallow ahd short.

Our status at home

Well, as most of you know, Stacy's dad is suffering from both Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, and now to add to that he has septicemia from a urine infection. I haven't posted because frankly, I haven't really wanted to, nor have I had the time. As of yesterday, the decision was made to stop all medications (except pain meds) and allow nature to run its course. This was a VERY hard decision for Stacy to make and it took her a good long while to make it. We are basically expecting a phone call at any moment.

Not looking forward to tomorrow

Getting my wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow. Fun times.

On another note, Stacy finalized some info on getting Megan started in school, this March. I know, she will only be 3, but they have special programs for children with special needs. Gets them started in school and learning and getting used to a school atmosphere. I believe the nurse will be attending with her, but Stacy can confirm that. So, our little girl is growing up. Makes me both happy and sad.
