Well I've played about 15 ladder games as Zerg.  I think I've won about 8 or them but I'm on a horrific losing skid (5 in a row).....mostly against Terran.  My macro is super bad so I think that's why I'm losing to T ..... also my time to engange has just been atrocious.  Instead of getting him the open or on creep - I seem to be hitting them at chokes etc.  Just dumb dumb dumb.  Ahh well - to be honest I don't even really have a good hotkey setup yet so I'm still figuring it all out.

So I did what I've desired to do for a long time.....I sat down for a day and just played Zerg.  And I loved it.  It plays much different than Protoss but it is a lot of fun and very interesting to learn.  At first I couldn't even rally my shit and I wasn't really sure what I was doing lol but after you figure that out and start exploring the tech tree a bit (I find tech switching with zerg way easier than climbing the tech tree as Protoss to try and get something out) it's pretty rad.  I'm not good at all but I'm having fun learning.  I think I'm terrible at placing my Overlords where they

Had some great team games last night with the boys. Still feeling a little less aggressive than they are - seems every game they want to cheese instantly (usually Roach Rush or Cannon Rush) and I'm a little more inclined to sit back and set things up more than that. To be fair they are very good about doing a roach rush and still keeping their economy and base building going pretty good whereras I would probably have more problems with that.

Welp put a lot of time in on my Gold account but not playing - just practicing (save for a match or two).

Did my placement matches with my new account and.....<<drum roll>> got placed in Gold top 25 w00t.  Pretty happy about that - not sure if it is accurate for my current skill level.  I basically 4 gated in all my matches......I think I expanded in 2 of the 5 matches - the others were over before that.

I think my assessment would be maybe I'm somewhere in silver - and I assume I may drop down to silver before too long.....but wtf ever! I'm in Gold yeah! and I'm happy to see some progress!

Well I'm still not entirely sure if Nestea and MVP were even on State of the Game yesterday....apparently the show ran an epic ~5 hours....included a lot of tequila, a guest pr0n star and some horrible 2v2 with Artosis rage quittting lol! So even if team IM wasn't on - it sounds like a good one - downloading the MP3 now!

What a terrible night of Starcraft 2 lol  me and my boys lost every single match all night long.  Not 1 win in 3 hours of play last night....we even played pretty good I thought in a few of those matches but the SC2 gods were not kind to us lol

Welllllll...................the LAN was a fail.  Some how the room I signed out (boardroom at work) got double booked and we basically had to pack up and leave.   Sucked because we had just started the first round of the 1v1 tournament at that point.  Oh well - I was bummed....so bummed in fact that I didn't much feel like playing SC2 after that lol

Gonna talk about Starcraft 2 (duh)....and Starhawk Private Beta! Yeah for variety lol

First of all - my SC2 LAN is this Saturday - can't wait. Gonna be a blast! I'm still getting used to my new giant 27" display. I also had to give up using my Razer Copperhead mouse and am now slumming it with a MS mouse which is taking some getting used to and definetly has a different feel. But the game is playing buttery smooth and looks amazing.

Not much to report .... except that I got my i7 27" iMac and successfully installed and ran Starcraft 2 on it.   Running everything on Ultra at 2560x1440 resolution....OMG such a difference lol  It looks fantastic.  I haven't done much bench marking but I did play vs. AI and watch 2 pro replays (MC vs. MVP and Her0 vs. Puma) and it was amazing!  I play a lot of team games (3v3 and 4v4) and from what I'm reading I may have to drop my resolution down to 1080p to maintain a high level of FPS....but that will be fine.  I should mess with it tonight and see what's what.
