Decided I'm gonna drive myself nuts and take on a big project.
As a lot of you know, I'm a whore for Gears of War. Been a gear head since Emergence Day (which happened to by my birthday). So I decided to take my Gears obsession to the next level. Cosplay!
Yes over the next five weeks I'm going to attempt to make a full suit of C.O.G. Armor from the Gears series. More specifically, Hoffman from Gears 3. (pictured below).
My grandmother is being placed in a home with an Alzheimer's Unit today, under the ruse of a "Ladies Day Out." My grandmother's husband, her family, and my dickhead aunt and uncle are currently working their asses off in a two part choreographed dance of deception. Unit One: The "Ladies": this unit is responsible for keeping Granny entertained with manicures, hairstyling, and other old lady stuff.
Just a few more pics. Should be ready for paint by the weekend. The first pic is after i finished filling and sanding. The next is just test fitting the custom bezel image. The last is a couple showing the sound upgrade from mono to stereo. By using an alternate pinout on the main board i was able to get a stereo signal but, was very low volt. So I added a nice little 12V amplifier that puts out 25x2rms @ 8ohms into a couple of full range Dayton Audio 4" drivers. The sound is awesome! :)
I just wanted to let everyone know that tonight 2Old2Shoot will be holding it's weekly Clan night. We'll be playing private games of Black Ops 2 tonighjt. Sticks and Stones or LMGs only on Nuketown is a a lot of fun and we'll run the new maps provided that everyone has them purchased and downloaded.
