New Games

I have a new addiction. Unlike all you cool people who are leaving Halo to play the hottest new games like oblivion and GRAW, Im digressing. I spent the entire weekend playing Knights of the Old Republic and Morrowind. Im totally hooked on knights, morrowind is still a shmea, Im not very far into it though. so I might get more into it once I actually figure out how to kill something. Anyway, just explaining my absence from XBL. Dont worry, I will be on later tonight.

Still Working

Figured I would blog about the time I have spent this weekend re-coding the site with Dsmooth. First off, I think I have spent around 20 hours so far coding away and making all the necessary changes. It has been a painful experience but luckily I have my coding master Dsmooth right by my side. If this was just me coding we would have surely lost the site entirely. I already screwed up the player map sections and thankfully DS had a backup.

Still in progress

Well, none of you can even see these blog entries right now, but I need to post an entry to see if a new blog-related feature works as I coded it... LOL...  Anyway, by the time you see this the site is going to be back online... :)

Oh yeah, its Friday...Well this week went by kinda fast. Nothing to earthshaking to talke about.

There was a hell of a lot of drama on the site this week, probably a good thing it is going down this weekend for version 2.0!!! I am kinda excited about it, I am looking forward to monday to check out the cool new stuff Doodi has put in for us.

WoW Addiction

Well, I bought more RAM for both my PCs at home today.  Another 512MB for each, bringing the total ram on each PC to 1024MG...aka 1Gig!!  fuck yeah!

Next on the list are HDs.  Dedicated to running WoW.  Right both PCs are running 40GB HD, which isnt nearly enough.  The load times and exit times are rough.  Hello fragment city.  So Im thinking that an 80GB HD should suffice, if all it has on it is WoW.

Oblivion Review

Reviewing Oblivion

Oblivion, Bethesda’s fourth and latest edition of The Elder Scrolls saga, released March 21st to this author’s delight. Oblivion is a role playing game, like the previous editions, that is so vast and open the developer claims it takes over 200 hours of gameplay to complete everything the game has to offer. This is a conservative estimate. So far I have played for 60 hours and I feel as though I’m no closer to the end of the game then when I began.

Three for the Road (Printable Version , E-mail to a Friend )
A trio of flicks worth getting out to see for a trey of different reasons

There’s this comedian named Dane Cook. I’ve no doubt some of you’ve heard of him. He does this bit about something guys want even more than sex. He says it’s to take part in a heist. Of course, he also says every guy wants a monkey, so...

ITOFTS

If you are a Heinlein fan (and, if youre not, what kind of sick weirdo ARE you?), then you should be familiar with the life philosophy of TANSTAAFL.  I have often found it to be a very useful philosophy when considering the relative "fairness" of life.

However, I have inadvertantly come across an even more apt, and, dare I say it, more compelling philosophy - that of ITOFTS.

Think the song on the popular radio station sounds like absolute junk?  Peace brother.  ITOFTS.

Still turning MTV on, expecting to hear music?  Repeat after me: ITOFTS.
