My 7 year old had his birthday this last week and he asked for a Master Cheif cake. I have to say Im pretty darn skippy proud of it.  Good thing I like him lots because that took FOREVER to do. 

 YAY! its that time of year again. Time for something to put in the christmas letter. Considering the last time we did this my almost Four year old was 18 months old, I think we were due for some new ones. Best yet, my sister is starting her photography business and she did them for FREEEEEEE! 

My dad was helping his mom in the yard when he was 1 1/2. He went inside and washed the dirt off his hands, but this was back in the day when water heaters were stoked in the mornings and not automatic. So Since it was mid morning the heat was going full blast and the water had time to get boiling hot. He turned the water on full hot and stuck his hands in the water. Grandma didnt hear him because she was still out in the yard. He went into semi shock and sat in his room wimpering until Grandma came in a while later.

I found this funny clip on Youtube while I was looking for another. Part of me is crying because they killed BUCK which is like killing Nathan Fillion, which is sadness. The other part of me totally giggles that the programers assumed you would kill him.

Anyway, the real point of this post is my love for Nathan Fillion. He had a nod to Firefly in Castle last season which was a total squeeeeeee moment

It makes me really sad to see how teachers are treated and compensated in our nation. Its one of the things that gets me the most riled up right now. Forget riled up, it makes me down right ANGRY. My mom has worked for a school district as a Physical Therapist for all of my life. Even after 30 years of senority in the schools she barely makes more than she could have made straight out of collage if she had gone into private practice. My father in Law is a vice principal, my Mother in Law works for a school district and my Sister's husband is a teacher as well. So its kind of personal.
