Has anyone been able to use the Kinect as a mic in this game?  I can't wear my headset along with my headphones and can't figure it out.  I have "enable chat through Kinect" ticked.

I've been playing the PC beta. The grunts are useless. They just stand around waiting to be picked off. There's no sense of satisfaction or reward for killing them. The auto-aiming handgun is straight up crap. It takes zero skill to kill people. That either needs to be removed from the game or nerfed somehow.

Thanks again for the beta code Deep, I've been playing a bit today and I'm really loving it so far.  This reminds me of a game I would continually pump quarters into back in the arcade days.  I do agree with Dixon on the grunts though, I think they either need to make them smarter or thin their numbers a bit, they can be nothing but clutter at times.

I don't know.It really seemed to be a game that would get old after the novelty wore off.I played domination(whatever they call it) mainly just to have some extra to do besides killing bots and "calling in my titan". I don't see the excitement lasting for long.

The excitement of high quality shooters doesn't last long regardless of title.  And just like any other title, it will be played by many, probably for a long time, and provide many many hours of entertainment value.

i don't mind the bots too much.  I blast them for time off of my titanfall. I laugh when hardline nags you for defending.  Don't  call me a camper when defense is part of your score.

Loving the game!! The AI is mostly there to help out peple new to the game to be able to kill something and to help reduce your Titan build time.

 

Little tip I read on Reddit. When your wall running, hold Left trigger, you will stop and hang there by your knife for about 5 seconds.

For the people saying it'll get old after awhile, you have to remember this is basically a stripped down version of the game. There are many weapons, abilities, game types, etc. that we haven't seen yet. You may still find it getting old quickly, but at least wait and see what else the game offers before you make up your mind

I hope it sells extremely well. This a rare game as it's only online multiplayer. Many people have asked for this type of product for years while the industry said it'll never fly. TF may be the turning point.

Actually, why do I bother. The nay sayers will come out in droves and bury any fun this game has. It is a fucking terrible game. The beta proves it. The AI ruins it and are a casual's wet dream. The maps don't flow and parkour breaks them. The weapons aren't balanced and Burn cards ruin any Pro potential. Don't buy this piece of shit. It's COD with mechs. Buy LoL and Twitch your brains out (please).

Oh i just remembered...if you see an enemy spectre...don't kill it...just run upto it & hold X...you will hack it & then he will follow u around as backup...lol.

After playing this now for a few days I've decided to cancel my pre-order.  I just don't see this keeping my interest for long for two reasons:

1) Vertical gameplay, not a fan

2) The titans are a novel idea, but I'd much rather be playing infantry, the titan gameplay is a bit too clunky and slow for me

Personal preferences for sure, but allow me to rage about the asinine auto pistol while I'm here too... what in the sam hell were they thinking adding an auto-lock weapon into a regular loadout?  Keep in mind these are the same guys that thought the SPAS-12 was an appropriate secondary weapon in MW2!

Guess I'll just keep playing Halo and Battlefield, enjoy the beta guys.

There are 3 Titan types, the Beta only has the one which is the middle one. There is still the Ogre (Tank) and Stryder (Scout) classes. The Stryder will move a lot quicker. I'm looking forward to using this Titan when it comes out.

I do hope the smart pistol get's nerfed. I haven't been killed by it to many times, but they are making it out like it's a main gun since it was part of the training.

I'll be getting it. It's a new game type and I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that tweaks will be upcoming. I am a COD guy, but I felt like it was a nice change up and will be a good game to throw in and have some fun with as a break in the COD action. I actually had quite a bit of fun last night staying in pilot mode and dropping my Titan but letting it just AI. The bots definitely need some tweaking, but I think that will be incoming...make me a little less squishy at least. This game reminds of open field PvP of some MMOs in that it is chaos and you don't always know where you are getting killed from.   All of the customization options are pretty cool also, particularly with the cards and other elements.

Playing on PC and even though I was skeptical I have to admit I'm really digging it.  It's a nice mix of CoD and a free to play mech shooter called Hawken with a little Mirrors edge parkour thrown in for flavor.   Is Titanfall the game changer everyone is hoping for?  Not even close.  If I had a beef it would be AI grunts and Spectres and the 6 on 6 cap for matches.  I'm hoping through DLC there will be a higher player count introduced in the future.   Still once I'm in the match and running around shooting and dropping titans on peoples heads I forget quickly about them.   If your on PC and want to group up feel free to add me Mr402 is the origin id.

I let the AI run my titan most of the time.  I prefer on foot with my pilot.

Me too I had way more fun running around. I wonder will there be a "titan" free mode. Everytime I got into a titan I didnt have a clue what was happening and whether I killed or got killed seemed to be random to me. 

After BF4 I swore I would never buy another EA game at launch so I'll wait and see how things go with this one.

Game is called Titanfalll not Titanfree. I would hope they would not do a Titan free mode since the game is supposed to be desingned around the Titans.

I hope team balancing come into effect, I'm sick of getting stuck with a shitty ass team for match after match after match after match. I think I have only won 4 games out of 3.5 hours of play time.

Just to break it up a little, a bit like team deathmatch on battlefield. The option would be nice.

I know what you mean about balancing. Everyone on the other team was rank 14 when I played last night and we were all rank 2 and 3 on my team.

I imagine any serious skill matching won't have an effect until weeks after full release. It can't really happen in four days.

All the Tweets I've seen from Respawn indicate Grunt AI and Titans will be in all game types. As you said  ^^^^^ it's called TITANFALL. They are engaging Pro competition for input and looking to the future.

FYI.

I've read confirmed reports from Respawn that:
Certain Belkin routers do not play nice with TITANFALL.
Intel 4000 GPU is not compatible with this game.

To the best of my recollection the COD series has never had skill based matchmaking.  I doubt Titanfall will either.  It will basically be the "luck of the draw" whom you end up with as team mates and opponents.

 

I'm also  with Ciaran on taking a wait and see approach.  EA has had some really bad launches recently with Sim City and BF4.  I'm sure they are conscious that they need to do better with the Titanfall launch, but I'm just not sure they are capable of pulling it off.

See, I thought it wasn't Call Of Duty-y with regards to who it matches you up with.  I thought it did have some kind of TrueSkill to determine who you're matched up with, but they may have that turned off until the final product.  I would prefer TrueSkill over endless pub stomping.

I've got nothing against the game and would probably buy it on launch day if it wasn't an EA product.  Whatever people think at least it's something new.
