'Ere ta make ya laff... ^^

Anyway, wasn't this about conjecture? *poke poke* It isn't that farfetched to assume that a Kinext will be a mandatory thing wit the 720. Waving your arms and talking to your xbox is being pushed for well about two years now. Unless you think that they will return to pad-control only, off course. Somehow, I don't think so.

Sure sure, conjecture yes.  Your sentence was a statement though, as if it was fact.  Didn't want unconfirmed mis-information to circulate.  :)

I think they'll do both, as it is now.  I've never used a Kinect on my system, and I haven't needed one.

One thing to mention - having the new Kinect be optional does mean that the base price for owning an Xbox could end up cheaper.  If they decide to include it with every console then they probably have some grand plan in mind for it.

Or it's needed...

but that's probably conjecture....about an included hardware...from a company that never gives away anything it can sell...probably conjecture...

Oh, and I won't tell you what body part Church uses with his Fruit Ninja...

You know what would be a no brainer for me, if I could touch a button on the nextbox and have Christina Hendricks boobs morph from the top of the box so I could motoboat them anytime I wanted to.

THEN ALL THE FUCKS WOULD BE GIVEN!!!

Acording to Click (UK tech show) Always online is no longer on the cards, guess the outcry among the great unwashed knocked that on tthe head.

Considering even Xbox Live has hours of unexpected downtime every now and then, Microsoft probably woke up and realized that if every one of their tens of millions of customers suddenly couldn't play games because of a server problem... that might not go over so well.

They might have stuck with it if Sony was also doing always on but since they're not, i don't think this is something they really want to force down our throats becasue the competition will be the alternative buy otherwise.

So over at Major Nelsons Blog, they just announced that a new Twitch app is available for the xbox 360 that you can dl and watch top tier casters/games etc. He also announced "Twitch will also host an exclusive broadcast following the May 21st #XboxRevealed event next week. I’ll moderate the broadcast live at 3p ET/12m PT live via the new Twitch app on Xbox 360 and also online at www.twitch.tv."

To me this could possibly mean that the next box will have a native function to watch and CAST you next gen game play. In essence matching Sony's deal with Twitch. I would also assume that both systems will merge with either systems friends list alerting you to when a buddy starts casting or that someone from your friends list has recently casted something and you can check it out by clicking a button.

Raptr has also announced a partnership with twitch to enable game feed and casting with an integrated twitch option (for PC). I would not be surprised if the next gen consoles act considerably more PC like in functionality and combine both the twitch app and Raptr functions (if you are unfamilular with Raptr, it is a gaming social network with friends lists, game play aggregation and community) and let you basically manage your Raptr and Twitch account from the NextBox.

I believe Sony went with Ustream.  Microsoft will also likely have Ustream according to an interview with that company, but they could have a Twitch partnership as well I suppose.

FYI Ustream is the parent company to Twich. If you sign up for Ustream you get access to Twitch. Twich is considered the "gaming" streaming service, where Ustream is more "non gaming".

Thank you for the correction.  I think they will be largely the same deal then, right?  Considering the Ustream confirmation that they had upcoming deals to announce and by no means was the Sony part exclusive.

Yeppers and at this point it will be interesting to find out what you/me/us will get for that kind of service. Will we get to stream at 480P, 720p, or less then 480p ala blops2 or if our gold memberships will actually be permitted to stream or do we need to upgrade to some yet to be reveled higher tier membership. (I really think their will be a third tier coming, promising a ton of extra's but I do not think we will get those details until E3).

A third tier would probably do well, especially if it offers some perk for display on a persons gamercard.  I bet the consoel can output video in 4K just like hte PS4, but streaming that would crush most internet connections.

It's a good point about a higher-than-gold tier.  I have my Xbox Live Diamond Card around the house somewhere still.

Paul Thurrott from Winsupersite.com is reporting rumors that the subsidized version has been scrapped.

Perhaps it was because of people still paying for the $99 Xbox 360.  I was thinking the overlap between that 360 and a similar price scheme new Xbox could be a bit of a headache.

I think the Xbox Infinity will be the 'main' box and the Xbox Fusion will be the media center edition not capable of playing anything but xbla titles.  less than 24h from now we'll all be talking about everything announced.

Fusion?  http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/surfacerecon/

It should be exciting.  Definitely seems to be console and features event on 21st, pure games at E3.

I think if there is a mini console it'll play games on demand "disc" titles as well.  Why not?  The 360 can.

Looks pretty damn awesome. I caught a few instances of 'premium content' from the various individuals being mentioned. Makes me wonder about the ripple costs downstream more than launch costs and how much each developer will be able to gouge us early adopters. I'm glad they focused on games. Too many companies go down on flames when they get away from core competences and in the beginning of the program when they talked so much about the TV,radio, cable, etc aspects I was getting nervous they were trying to become all things to all people,  it the full circle back to premiere launch titles was reassuring. Put me down for two Xbox One sets at launch please!

Did we watch the same reveal?? It looked like their focus was more so on the entertainment (tv, etc.) than gaming from the reveal. I am VERY underwhelmed after watching that.

No I am serious. It was more heavily slighted toward the TV elements (which I couldn't care less about) but I thought they did a pretty good job discussing some games as well, particularly franchise cornerstones like COD, Forza, etc.  My fear was that they would focus almost all the time (thus effort) on the TV elements exclusively and that it would be way worse than it was. I temper my expectations with the fact that no console in launch history (in my memory) had a big stable of games at launch as well as the fact that we are a half year away from launch meaning we will still see lots of titles emerging, some by E3 probably.

I did have to laugh at EA's "enjoy a totally new experience" message while giving us the same iterations of the same tired games that haven't changed in a decade outside of a few tweaks.

lol .. I thought that was funny too! To each his own, Im sure people are going to love what it offers, That Forza shot looked crazy good. I really hope @ E3 both PS4 and Xbox One knock our socks off with awesome gameplay. Im leaning towards Sony but its still too early to decide to me, the jury is still out.
