Just watching the results of some work I did last year for our national Irish language station, not bad, if I say so myself. Sword work looks convincing and the filming of the fight scenes was done well. Chalk that one up as a win.
Farmer Pyro's take on home grown asparagus. It's much more tender. When you cut the spears or snap them off they ooze water which means they dehydrate as time goes by to get them to the store and then to your plate. Pretty much how it goes. Pick to plate for peak enjoyment.
Ruptured L4 disc in my back. I get the needle for now for pain management and inflamation reduction to give it time to heal on its' own. Herniations above and below L4 but no symptoms.
I'm sure the brain surgeon could use a little down time to stick a needle in my back. Primary Dr. doesn't want an anesthesiologist anywhere near my back with a needle.
Dr says pain relief should be immediate. Maybe I'll get to pull out the new guitars and fire up the half stack or give the drums a proper pounding.
My mom was diagnosed with precancerous squamous something or other. Her medicine will be $900 out of pocket, which none of us can afford but will obviously pay. I'm kind of sick and tired of constant worry and medical bills. (My grandmother had chemo again on my bday for lung cancer.)
Result Pyro, more sucky stuff for Kit...sympathies, and I have to spend another couple of hours sitting around the Hospital, at least this is the local one so that is just an hours round trip as far as travel goes.
Mrs Knight's physio has copped on and realised that she has to focus on getting more improvement in movement and flexabilaty...Seems like a no brainer to me, but hey what would I know.

Sorry y'all seem to be getting the run around. As for knowing better than the physio/rehab people, when mom was in rehab for her fractured spine, the guy had her do an exercise that involved twisting. Rule number one after spinal fracture: DO. NOT. TWIST. Hopefully things get better for y'all. The run around, traveling and waiting, AND dealing with people who are supposed to be pros but don't seem to even know the basics of the job...all very frustrating. Best wishes to you both!!
Ah I could strangle that physio, today she actually said she disagreed with the surgeon and that what Sally is doing at home is more than enough...He stated he wanted "Aggressive" Physio three times a week. Best she has done is twice a week, and to be honest that is about all we can manage anyway, but he wants hands on professional intervention as well as home work. Ah well this one is back on the ward next week and a new one takes over, fingers crossed she does not think she knows better than the surgeon.
On a lighter note, the jet washer came out and the winter grime removed from the Focus and a new coat of wax. Temporary it may be, but for the moment she is looking clean and lovely.
Well damned if I know what is going on, for the last few days the sun has been shining, even washing the car failed to bring on the rain. Very odd.
Quandary of the day, do I update my graphic card drivers? This often involves much cursing and some hours of trying to get the computer working right again, the curse of triple screens it seems, never had issues on single screen but since I have gone triple it has been a hit and miss experience...No races today so I have the time, but do I have the inclination.
Been house hunting lately, so hard to find something that fills all requirements, need a lot of space to fit in recording studio, race rig and a ton of swords armour and costume. internet access of course is an issue out here. Has to be close to Mrs Knights place of work for those times I am away. Everywhere so far has just not ticked enough boxes, either too small, too ramshackle, too far or too close to other houses...Like my privacy, maybe to a fault.
Ah well have sent Mrs Knight out for her first run since her operation, time for her to get back to doing what she loves, just a short one, but it will do her good. I will fire up the rig and ponder on the update...
Well things get stranger, decided to have a couple of races in rF2 on ISI's public lobbies, they were running the BTCC Civic around Silverstone, well having done many laps in this combo I thought I would break my long held rule of not racing in public lobbies. First race I managed 6th after a fairly bad race on my part, and thought as the folks seemed like fair racers I would hang on for one more, somehow qualified first, and won the race from the front.
So sunshine, faultless driver update and a race win...I think I'll quit while I'm ahead.
Knight, I've said it before, and a lot of the oldtimers will back me up on it. If you hang with this gang for a bit and then go back out into the publics, your improvement will become blatantly obvious. I did that in Fm4, went out after maybe a year and just kicked ass and didn't give a shit about the names.
The level of competition inside our little "group" is very misleading. Most mid packers are going to do real well on the outside, as long as the groups not fulla asses.
Oh for sure, and I have now put hundreds of hours into that sim, but to put it into perspective, some dude came on the server, put in a lap two secs ahead of everyone else, shared his set up and went...I am a mid pack racer, my guess is most on the server that night were too, so my experience paid off, and yes it all started with 2O4F, no better training ground :)
In an hour, I'll be at the dealership dealing with the Talks Down To Boobs service guy. I'll try my best not to punch him.
This will be the THIRD time I've had to bring it in for the TPMS light going on for no fucking reason.
I'm in a flare up, so I'm in pain and cranky. My mom's insurance refused to approve the med she needs for her precancerous squamous thing. So she's having to wait again for the dr to get together with the pharmacy to get approval from insurance. My dr's office messed up an order I need for a test, so I'm in limbo waiting for them to fax the right order to the right place so I can schedule. Basically, I'm in a BAD fucking mood and its a BAD day for this guy at the dealership to talk down to me. BAD.
In general I hate service writers. 90% of them are people persons...and don't know shit about cars. Most of them couldn't tell you the difference between a MAF, TPS, CTS, IAT or FPR. They regurgitate what the technician tells them, without understanding what the problem is and how it relates to the relevant system.
Sounds like they need to take 20 minutes, pull the tire and replace the affected TPMS. I can see clearing codes the first time, but if it comes back again in fairly short order, something is wrong. It's not uncommon for a TPMS to go bad. Hope they get you fixed this time.
Is TPMS a problem with other cars. I think kit has a Hyundai Elantra or something and when i google it the TPMS on those cars seems like a big headache. Never had a TPMS problem with a vehicle of mine that had it. A crappy Ford Explorer and two Hondas. For fuks sake why does a Hyundai dealership need to initialize new sensors?
looks like today might be the day for the first taste of home grown asparagus. Started it last spring.
I love asparagus. Secondary entertainment feature too.
Why does my body smell like chicken soup?
Did you use Henna shampoo?
LMAO!!
LOL

Thank god they finally have you diagnosed Pyro. At least now you can get the road to recovery planned. Knowing is half the battle.
We are having a potluck at work today.....soooo much food. Holy hell!
Good luck Pyro!

Having a craptastic week. :/

I could never live in town again after being out here in the country. I like my privacy, even if I do little with it.
Yup even our local town that is no more than two streets and really nothing more than a village seems too built up and claustrophobic.
Well I bit the bullet and upgraded, what do you know, went without a hitch...Something is definitely wrong!
Do you have nvidia drivers or the other guys?
We are desperate to get someplace with some room. We're about sick to death if neighbors. Ugh!
Nvidia mate, this update has been the first trouble free for a while. No idea why, and neither had their support bods.

Cars and health care...two things almost guaranteed to conspire to make your life a misery. Hope it all works out and you feel better soon Kit.
I hope someone paid her bail...
Haha.
Though we haven't seen Kit today. So maybe.....

What happened to the good old days of looking at your tires? I frequently hear more problems with TPMS than with the tires themselves.
If you have the system, it should work though.
That requires about 2 minutes of time and reading a couple numbers. We ain't go time for that!

We have a Kia Soul and we've had issues too.
Kit has an AVENGER! (Dodge...)
