sat off week race discussion
I was thinking today at our sat off week mod testing, for the guys showing up do you wanna continue testing race 07 mods ?
Or
Since a lot of us have gotten into iracing would you be interested in running a bi weekly base content series? Maybe a few more guys from gbr would wanna jump in making the field bigger.
For anyone that doesnt have iracing they have a free 3 month trial from Cadillac that ill try to find the link too. I am thinking mx5/solstice race ?
Let me know I have lots of mods to be tested just trying to figure out what. Would draw the most and be interesting.
Personally i love the race 07 wtcc style racing so far its the best out of any of the games I've tried, but besides that I am generally running iracing and i figure if i am paying for it i might as well get the most. Out of it :)
And I've decided its going to be my go too till the next gen games start coming out
I'm easy mate, but GBR did an informal iRacing race once a month and it was a great way to get into it without messing your SR rating up. So if there is enough interest count me in.
Personally, I'm a little reluctant adding too many mods to Race07, due to the way it's run. I don't mind one or 2 if we are going to be running them for multiple weekends. If it was set up like rFactor, where you are able to do completely separated installs, I would have fewer reservations. In those instances, it's really simple to delete a mod.....you just wipe the whole folder. I can see R07 being a bit of a pain trying to clean up if one of the mods doesn't play well with another one.
But yeah, I'm sure some of the GBR guys will hop in for an iRacing session. Make sure you get the info up a couple days in advance, and I bet you get at least 3 or 4.
Truthfully, I liked the STCC. Yeah it's almost the same as WTCC, but I don't really get a chance to run cars like that anywhere else. Another option could be a GT series from the GTR Evo Add On (part of Race Injection IIRC).
+1 on not installing mods to Race 07, yes we are the touring car club and at least when it comes to R07 there is more than enough to play with in stock form. I think a chance to relax and run with friends in iRacing is a great idea.

You guys can just tell me what you want as far as GBR iRacing league sessions, and it will be done. I have plenty of $$$ in the GBR iRacing slush fund.
I am interested in doing more than once a month GBR iRacing sessions, but I am trying to be careful about not taking away participants from other GBR rFactor sessions. I get my own iRacing fix from official sessions, and I do the GBR iRacing league primarily for the rest of you. If you want more GBR iRacing, it will be done. I just need to know when, what, etc.

Do you guys want me to set up a session for this Saturday? If so, I need the details, including the track, car and time, as well as how long you want for warm up, qualifying and the race. I won't be present, since I will be in Arizona, but I will be near a computer should I need to make adjustments for you guys.
I would love to stick to the simbin stuff just because I don't have iracing and probably won't ever have it. Paying a monthly fee is something I simply can't justify or get the wife onboard with (we all know the real reason
) But if the majority is to go to iracing, then I can live with that. That will just give me a full two weeks to work on the BTCC tracks.
Well for me if that is the case I am happy to continue with R07 rather than have a member miss out, all for one and one for all and all that.
This sat will run race 07 gt sport class at the ring gp
and no knight there are no fwd cars available :)
For those of interested in an iracing series will look into starting it in about 2 weeks i dont have enough info of what we can run nor have i mentioned it to any of the gbr guys beside helios and zero.....once i get more details will go from there!
Like I said in an earlier post, you guys tell me what you want to do and it will be done. The only caveat is that I want to be careful about not drawing guys away from existing 2old2Race or GBR series. So, ideally, we would schedule the session for when there is not otherwise a 2Old2Race or GBR series going on.

I'm going to be running the Daytona 2.4 at iRacing. Starts at 10. Runs for 2 hours, 40 minutes. I'll try dropping by if I get wrecked out early.
I may be out the next 2 weeks as well. Going down to Caffeine & Gasoline next Saturday, and another endurance race on the 9th.

I am having some trouble running this track. The first night I installed it I ran some time attacks and it worked fine, but ever since it crashes race 07 when I try to run this track. I have tried all my other add on tracks and they all work fine. Do you guys have another version of this track I can try?

I've been wanting to run the GT cars for quite a while.....but I'm a sucker for endurance races.....argh!
I'll have to see who else is planning on running the 2.4.
Teah it get's tough finding holes, we are actually a fairly small group and with GBR, 2O2R and Forza vying for our time, and the PC racing all seems to fall at the weekend..at least for the Euro zone crew.
Yeah, other than the Sunday morning (PST) events, GBR doesn't really run anything on the weekend. A couple of us run Historix on Sunday evenings (PST), but other than that it's pretty much R2P, 2O2R, iRacing, or Forza weekend activities for GBR members. But I think a lot of guys take most of the weekend off too.

If my memory serves me correctly i believe the best/opening spot between the 2 clubs is sat mornings.....afternoon will be too late for the euro guys and i dont think the wife would be to happy with me playing all sat afternoon.....
Iam thinking maybe off week sat 9:30am start...30 min practice 4 lap qualifie r45- 60 min race and possibly do an oval race every other session?.....so than we will be able to do 2 road races and 2 ovals a month with the current gbr league as well.....but iam fine with just road courses
car and track will base content for a while unless we find an add on car that everyone enjoys
In all honesty I loved the Caddy and would love to run that again with everyone......a beastly bitch of a car but is really rewarding when you get it :)
Any word on multi class capabilities?
I tried the touring cup race but the mx5 dominated the multi car series so it would pointless having 3 cars available if only 1 is good cause we all know what will get picked lol
My goal for this game is to spend $30-40 a month in content......mostly road tracks at first than ill start chipping away at the ovals

We can do multi-class. I figured it out, after getting some advice from the guys at iRacing. You tell me what cars you want to run. I know how to set it up.
I'm fine with thowing in Ovals, it's a different skill to road racing and I could do with the practice.

it should be base content if you bought the race injection pack.......its not an add on...it should either be under extras or gtr i believe? ill check in a bit :)
Ah hell. Ok I have Race Injection so i will remove the track i added and see if that is what is causing the issue.
