What year were you born? Obvious Question for an older gamer site right?

What will you name the thurs. nite room Al.
Greg, tomorrow night (since Dan’s pretty much always on time) would you mind checking to see if you can find any way to join my room via Dan’s ID and not directly from joining my room? I highly doubt you can but I’m trying to figure out if you absolutely must be a friend of mine to enter the room which I suspect is the case but in GT5 you could get into my private lounge if you were friend of anyone in the room.
To get in the lobby do we nead to search for the Room Name like on the PC?
Also can we use NoS like a DRS System?
The lobby I saved the other night had a title of "2O4F Clean" but I noticed buttons in the on-line options to filter between friends and public rooms so should be easy enough to find me???
I don't have the financial backing to hire the safety personnel and equipment required for racing with NOS so I have to go with NO Church...and smarten the hell up :)
May not make the race tonight as my father as a DR appointment and may not be back in time
Looks like I will make it afterall. Qucik question. I have a small bluetooth headset I use with my phone and it is linked to the pS3, is there anything I need to do in preperation for the lobby?
Sounds great Grimm, looking forward to applying an unwanted handicap on you :)
You should be all set but when you say you "linked" the blue tooth to the PS3 did you go into the settings menu of PS3, find the blue tooth devises and select the machine's default blue tooth devise? If you did you should be good to go..I just remember this PS3 setting as something a lot of us didn't initially figure out when we bought our PS3's a few yeasr ago.
Some damn good racing tonight lads!
I also like the Quali. Your not a ghost because you can use another persons draft to get a better time.
Or if your in a team you use each other for the straights!
Good stuff tonight guys. Really enjoyed the racing and banter. I should get my bluetooth sorted next week. Strange, I could turn it on, and all would be good for 15 seconds or so and then shut off.
The other thing I learned tonight is I need to learn these tracks. Without the driving line (which I could just have the braking line), I'm all over the place on some of these tracks which is not good for others.
Looking forward to seeing whats in store for next week.
With all the tracks available I really need the line otherwise I most likely will be a hazard. Too many tracks not enough track time means I really need the line in online lobbys. Can't understand how the line messes up others so much if they don't want or need it, couldn't believe all the bitching about it last nite.
Had fun last night. Once we get this online racing worked out it will run alot smoother. Enjoyed racing with some of the 2o4f guys again. Grim, I'm going to try that s2000 tune. You were flying down the straits with that tune. Hope to see everyone next Thursday.
A good part of that bitching was Parcells Brnt, sorry about that. The racing was great I think I just let all the little minor nuisances/bugs and new stuff pissed me off all the while trying to run a smooth room so the newcomers aren't put off by GT and the fucking driving line set me off. To top it off, Brands Hatch was the only new track I actually know and every time we ran that track I fucked up by not getting it turned off in time...ahh serenity now. Thankfully that only leaves me 6 new tracks to learn (I suppose 7 counting Silverstone but have done the new full circuit a number of times now) and not surprisingly we raced them all last night, more than once some times so my driving was less than stellar to boot so I really had no alternative but to turn to sulking I'm sure you understand
Admittedly it will take a couple weeks to iron out the details and I"m sure PD will fix some of bugs so all will be well in due time. Plus next week we start the spec cars which will keep the second half more organized if you will. FYI...as I was reviewing what cars I might buy when I do the glitch I was reminded of one my all time favorite cars the Opel Speedster Turbo so there's a strong possibility it might be next week's car? Also took notice that there was no Lotus Exige Cup, that's disgraceful to have 1200 cars and no Exige.
Glitch time....this is gonna be fun, tedious no doubt but fun
The other thing that was tough for me was trying to figure out who was talking during the race. I recognize Brnt, Parcells and Marks voice but without the name flashing on the lowere left, it was hard to know who it was. Just a temporary thing as over time I'll get to know everyone. That said, it was alot of fun,
I was really surprised how fast my S2000 was. Yes it was tuned and I think the transmission was the biggest factor (that and the race brakes and triple plate clutch) because it was just leaving people. I may soften it a bit as it was really tail happy at Matterhorn but that just might be the way that track is with the crests and off camber turns.
Again had a blast
I had a blast last night guys. My wife seems to be OK with me racing with you guys, so long as I have dinner with her and the kids first. I did that last night and it worked like a charm. I even had time to do some work on the credits glitch before I joined you. The Scirocco that we did later in the night was sheer bliss, as was the KTM X-Bow.
brnt, sorry about my complaining regarding the racing line. I no longer use a racing line in any sim because I found that it was impeding me from learning the tracks. I also do not use the mini-map in the left hand corner of the screen. I am confident that it will be patched such that it does not default to racing line on every time we go into an online race.
I had lots of fun, I think...
Sorry, I was a bit drunk and ready to go to bed when Church sent me a message that a room was going, sorry if I got in anyones way with my drunk driving!!
I think I should wait until we get a Euro GT6 track night organised!!
Gt6 euro track night yes plzz
I finally have decent broadband (20Mb/1Mb) so I should be able to host stuff now "if required"

I'll be there
I must be doing somethign wrong as I could not race in either of the first two races. First race was booted before qualifing. Second race qualified and then at the start of the sarce, just sat at the start line. Not impressed today!
All seemed to be good from race 3 though lol
I really need a mic though!
Booted from 3 out of 5 races. Sucks not having a fing mic
I think the problem is Im not seeing (or hearing) when you are starting the qualifing as Im tuning in the lobby and cant see the timer so there is no clue that you need to finish and ready up
People are on the track for a while then I start the quali but if your not on the track you dont start the race.
I started the 40 second timer then you left the track then thats it unless you get back on the track in time
CProRacing wrote: ... then I start the quali but if your not on the track you dont start the race.

That's the trick with GT rooms, dont start the race without everyone on the track so you really need to know how many are in your lobby (and participating LOL not sitting out a race) and use the HUD to know how many are on track with you. In lieu of everyone not being on track and its time to get the race started just announce race starting snooze or lose....if the race timer starts you can still get on track but if you're not on when it expires you miss out.
Grimm, even without a working mic you can hear us right? As long as the room host knows the above it shouldn't be a problem. Still seems odd to me cause when you first came on I could hear you and it worked so its just odd to sya the least??? Certainly wont be an issue on Thursday nights as its a lot of rinse and repeat at least when the spec cars come out, sepaking of which see below...
But we do need a Mic and to change our name to our GamerTags lol
If your making adjustments, you dont see a timer and since there is no one saying "qualifing is starting" then I have no idea
Yeah got caught out on one race Doh
