It's not Blood Gulch.

One opinion that fits, it is a Forge Environment.

Based on what happened with the Anniversary maps, I believe we should only be thinking Halo CE and Halo 2.

I agree with Deep here. I really don't think they would re-make a map from Halo 3 since that game is still playable now. That rules out Sidewinder since they already re-made that in Halo 3 with Avalanche. I also get the impression that Longbow is just a smaller version of Sidewinder/Avalanche, so they already have that kind of symmetrical big team map. They re-made pretty much everything they could from Halo CE already in Halo Anniversary, so that rules out another CE re-make. My guess is that the re-make will be a big Halo 2 map. They already re-made Headlong, so that leaves Burial Mounds, Containment, Terminal, Waterworks, possibly Colossus, and maybe even Uplift from the Vista version of Halo 2. I believe it's likely one of those.

I still think it's Sidewinder.  Although, "not small" is rather ambiguous, for it could mean it's medium sized too.

bsangel from last weeks Bulletin.

During one such recent session, our online battles brought us to an outdoor map that features a centrally located, multi-level building. It’s a place that strategic, communicative teams want to lock down and control. (That’s what some people around here say, anyway. The rest make their opinion known through the nicknames of each floor–Jerk 1, Jerk 2, and Jerk 3.) After Red Team successfully secured the advantageous center structure, Blue Team found themselves spending more time on the respawn screen than actually playing.

Someone suggested Halo 2 Vista map Uplift. Sort of fits.

I was thinking Relic but it really only has two floors.

New maps, no matter what game you are talking about, are always the way to go.

@Clops - H3 had at least a couple H2 remakes at launch and H2 was still playable. It's also rumored that an H2 remake is in the works for next year. My guess is we get almost all H2 maps with that. It still could be an H2 map but I'm sticking with High Ground. It's not a big map but not exactly small either. I hope I'm wrong though because I'd rather see Burial Mounds or Relic.

The line of thinking where no Halo 3 maps are being considered, comes from the Anniversary Map pack. In order to qualify, a map could not already be playable in Halo 3 or REACH. Source was 343i.

Of course we don't know what constraints are in play for Halo 4 remakes but I am assuming those same ones are in play.

That's a good point I hadn't thought of. They did re-make H2 Zanzibar in Halo 3, so maybe we can't rule out the H3 maps. However, I don't think it would be High Ground. In this week's bulletin they said they'll have a dedicated CTF hopper/playlist at launch and it will be 2-flag CTF *only*. So, they seem to be favoring 2-flag over 1-flag CTF (which I think is good BTW). If they do re-make a map from H3 I think it's more likely to be a 2-base map like Standoff or Valhalla.

I would not rule Lockout out just because the remake was so hated by fans. But if I had to guess it would be Burial Mounds, but Standoff would be the first remake I would want.

Why not both?  Have multiple variants.  I think that, with a new beginning to this franchise, they can't afford to put all the eggs into a basket.  I think they're better served trying a few things out and axing them if they don't work out to pare the list down.  Of course, then you have to worry about saturation of gametypes.
