Well, I'll consider the gametypes based on how many people we get. If its 4v4 or 3v3 I would focus on MLG variants, if its 5v5 or 6v6 we could go with vanilla slayer and goofy stuff, and if it gets bigger than that we hope and pray that BTB works. :)
Of course, we can always go matchmaking if the party is small, although I'd be inclined to stay out of ranked for the time being!
Seemed to me Gandi was only questioning AGL's decision to go with Halo 3 at the last mintue. Basically he was saying AGL was cutting off the hand that has fed them (343i) and is about to destroy any hopes for a Pro Halo circuit of any kind.
Also, AGL hasn't announced a decision. Maybe they were just pandering to the the 'play Halo 3 to spite 343i twitter crowd'. Then AGL can then say we tried but business is buisness and go with Halo 4. I guess we'll know today. doesn't matter much to me but I'm all to often intrigued by the internet's silliness.

It's in. AGL never planned on Halo 3 replacing Halo 4. Knee jerk reaction to the Twitter-verse I guess. This Brad guy is considering having both games. Needs people (who?) to put their money where their mouth is by buying passes for the different venues? Needs online viewers to vote somehow. Sounds like a huge cluster fuck.
Thanks for hosting last night Ders. I'm still a little sore today from getting totally wrecked due to my severe lack of Halo skills (and Edie's blue balls of death). Going back to Halo 3, I have to remember I was not a slayer and tended to support and play objective. Reach and H4 have given me some bad habits...lol
Had a blast last night, thanks for hosting. I think given the H3 resurgence and free H3 on G4G I might be generally done with H4 for a while, although I might still join deep for customs depending on the schedule.
Fun games last week. It was great to play the original DeathMart again. I also think that Multicog (by Noxiw) is one of the greatest custom maps ever made, and that is from a time when it wasn't so easy to forge custom maps. I used to lead parties all the time and have lots of H3 customs. I'm planning to play some more H3 this week.
For people who are buying the disc please remember that the Halo: ODST multiplayer disc has ALL of the available H3 maps, so that is the best one to get.

I totally have not seen this thread, lol. But Halo 3 was giving me the lags the last time I tried to play, so I was a little leery about stepping back in. Anyway, just in case peeps haven't seen it in my Custom Game Nights w/ CHa0s thread, I'm running a Halo 3 lobby tonight (Sunday, Oct 20th 7pm P/10p E), trying to get some of the best Halo 3 forgers to show up and show off their stuff. Not sure how many will show up, but if you have any cool Halo 3 maps you've forged or you just want to come join in, everyone is welcome. It will mostly be casual-competitive games, with any mini-games, race etc spaced throughout. The more the merrier, so come shoot faces!

And like I said in that other thread, if anyone shows up that is ruining the mood of the party for you, please let me know and I will deal with it ;)
