As there are not many of us on FM5 and mixed of Euro and NA i was trying to pick a time and day to include everyone.
I was thinking of running a 4 week series on a Saturday at around 9pm - 10pm GMT (4pm - 5pm EST)
Are these times ok with everyone?
I am going to get this posted up this week
Those times could be tough for me as its right in the middle of the day but don't hold off on my account. If it works for everyone else, I will join if I can.
I would like to host a brief Saturday Night American Muscle Car series for 4-6 consecutive weeks on different tracks, but the rooms are going to have to stabilize before we can pull off events like that with any kind of success. At some point MS/Turn 10 are going to have to address multiplayer issues and fix them. The sooner the better.

I would be interested in such a series. The muscle cars in Forza 5 are some of my favorites in all of sim racing.

I might be a little late to the party but what issues are you talking about Jones??...I have had no issues jumping in the public hoppers..Mind you I dont get online much since Im trying to blast thru the Series but the times I have jumped in with some friends it seemed the party chat was the issue......The work around that seems to work was starting a new party
IMO i have not seen or experienced any problem with the multiplayer on Forza 5. The chat for one is far better than FM4, even when the game is loading to the track you can still chat to people which in FM4 for me i could not hear anyone. I have been in the hoppers with 10 - 12 people in with no problems, although i have seen only a couple of times lag issues but i think that was down to the persons connection.

Some of us are having a completely different experience with multiplayer, Max.
You open a new party chat, invite the people you want in it, open a multiplayer lobby and everyone in the party chat gets a message to join your lobby ..... Pretty simple
I'm not talking about party chat...I'm talking about lobbies dropping dudes out (sometimes replacing them with drivatars), invisible players on the track, and rubberbanding.
I think my own experiences are in the middle of Max and Sarcasmo.
Regarding party chat, I have found it works great as long as I am FOLLOWING everyone in the party chat. If I am not following them, I don’t hear them. That seems odd to me but it seems to be the requirement.
On the Forza 5 lobbies, I have not been dropped or kicked but I have run into issues joining private ones. I don’t have much information but the few times I have had trouble joining one has been when I joined a party while in a single player Forza 5 race. I never see a notification to join the lobby and the UI offers no intuitive path to it. If I exit to the dashboard and restart Forza, then I get the "join multiplayer" notification and I am able to join.
During Trexx's BMW M3 race last weekend I know Stewies head was able to join a lobby but it kept dropping him so he was unable to participate.
Other than that, I have had no issues. As Max stated, the voice quality on the XBOX One is far superior than on the 360. The experience could certainly be better. Conversely, it could have been worse (see Battlefield 4).
The slow down, speed up thing is particularily annoying during corners. You can't tell where you're really at during the progress of the corner. You're slow motion going in, all of a sudden you're at the apex, but you didn't hit the apex because everything happened so fast.
Yes
I have a couple in planning and was going to start one soon
Sweet! Would love to see some action in FM5,public sucks.
Yeah, would love to do a Forza 5 series.

I'm good for anytime Sunday, and after 2pm PST on Saturdays
Hello , Max ! Yes, that time is OK for me.
That time should be good for me :)
I'd be good with that.
I will get this posted soon, bit busy with RL ATM
I'll see what I can do. Usually races in the middle of the day don't work for me.
If anyone needs help with signup sheets/standings/results, etc, let me know and I'll be glad to help in any way I can

Do you guys have any one and done nights for Forza 5? I'm never going to be a racer but a night of community fun might interest me.
I have posted up a series and a one off race this Saturday (18th)
It would be good to have more multiplayer lobbies with random tracks and cars everynight like we used to on FM4
there does not seem to be enough with the box yet, also remember the thur night track night 8pm gmt

I still cant see the problem with the party chat.

I have not experienced that problem at all in FM5 or any of the other problems you have listed
