Is it available on Live? I'd prefer to watch it on my console but I've been waiting for this for some time now... A few more hours of work and I will be able to finally watch it!

I watched it from Waypoint on my big TV with surround sound and it kicked butt all the way through.

NICE!!! Like a lot of people, I've been waiting for a live-action Halo feature for some time now and now that it's finally here, I am not going to shortchange my experience by watching it on a small screen. I'm going big!!! Can't wait to get home and watch it!

It's really five parts?  The episodes must get shorter and shorter then.  If they were all 20 minutes, the 90 minute extended cut would be shorter than the actual episodes.

Edit - yeah, says right on waypoint five parts.  Well darn.

Took a few minutes to put my finger on it, but the british chick is one of the girls from the Narnia movies.

I couldn't believe it to when I first saw the previews for this when it was first announced. Had to do a double take but yes, it is the same actress from the Narnia movies. She was good in the Narnia movies - so far, it sounds like she's just as good in Forward. I'll see... a couple more hours of work.

I recognized her from 28 Days Later.

I thought so also and although Anna Popplewell and Megan Burns share a strong resemblance Popplewell was not in 28 Days Later.  Burns incidentally now fronts a goth/pop band called Betty Curse.  I thought the same thing until I went searching on IMDB.

I've been following the teasers and behind the scenes videos on Machinima and have been impressed.  I was a strong advocate that any Halo film would have to be CG and used the cut scenes from Halo Wars as the basis for that argument.  I'm thouroughly impressed with how well they have captured and conveyed the Halo universe using live action and special effects.

Also, for those that really get into the Halo universe the next book from Karen Traviss released this week.  Halo: The Thursday War is a continutaion from Halo: Glasslands which picked up the way off tangent (at the time of publication prior to Halo 3's release) story arch started back with Halo: Ghost of Onyx.  If I understood correctly it (The Thursday War) should bring us right up to the SP portion of Halo 4.  Good shiete all around for a Halo fanboy!!

OK... so next time we "may" get to see Covenant...? It may be an Elite taking a sword swing at the Corbulo spartan statue (very brief) at the very end credits..? Time to step up Laskey! Spotted Frank the Janitor with mop. Must be his Hitchcock moment. ?

I'm becoming quite fond of Silva (Popplewell), the accent, the pouting lips...25

Thanks for the update Deep! Can't wait to watch this later on this evening! I guess this update answers my question and it looks like this is going to be a weekly release up until the release of the game. Like last week, I'm going to hold off and watch it at home so that I can see it on my HDTV instead of on my crappy work-LCD but until then, I'm going to have to fight the urge to sneak a peek.

Added part 3 to the OP.

Awesome!

It is really good!

I can hardly wait to watch it all at once in the 90 minute extended version.

Heh, I thought I had actually missed something in the episode when you posted this, then realized that you were just showing that the chief will be in this series in the upcoming episodes, which I kinda knew already.

Out of curiosity has anyone read Glasslands and Thursday War yet or the Greg Bear novels detailing the Forerunners?  There are some really cool connections between the books, Forward Unto Dawn, and Halo 4 SP.
Lasky is the XO on Infinity, which is the biggest ship the UNSC has ever built and is principle to H4.  The Didact is detailed in Cryptum and Primordiun and appears to be the principle villain and "Ancient Evil" that has been awakened in H4 on the world Requiem. Jul 'Mdama appears to have regained his command as a ship master with a fleet and has located Requiem and awoken the Didact.
I'm sure there is a lot more info and connections out there than I noted, but I've been trying to avoid all the leaked info and just read the books and watching the trailers.  It's nice to finally have the books aligning themselves so nicely with the game.

I've read Cryptum, Primordium, Glasslands and The Thursday War. All of them have a direct connection to Halo 4. As you say "It's nice to finally have the books aligning themselves so nicely with the game."

I believe we can rely on 343i to maintain better connections between game and story fiction. That being said, Frankie has commented, the game will not be impeded by the written Universe.

Wow, if you've read Glasslands, you NEED to read Ghosts of Onyx.

And seriously, for such a huge Halo fan, how could you not read any of the other books? Especially the Eric Nylund books...

I am a huge Halo 'game fan. All of my interest is with the game's fiction. Now that 343i has complete control, the written and game fiction link better and I needed something to pass my time before Halo 4.
