[FM5] March Car Pack - Alpinestars - Includes 1999 Toyota GT-One

http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/FM5_Alpinestars_Car_Pack

This might be the best car pack yet.  It is worth buying solely for the Toyota GT-One.  I also am looking forward to driving the Radical.  If you have the car pass and/or if you buy the car pack, you get the GT-One gifted for free.  No need to buy it in-game using your hard earned credits.

I also got another $1.5 million in Forza Rewards credits today.  Woohoo!!!!

Hmm making people buy cars that we all bought in past FM's is beyond me. Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the La Ferrari and Caterham the only NEW cars added to the game? It's not right to make us (the consumer) pay for items that we have spent money on in past games. Thank M$ for the influx of micro transactions, the word SCAM comes to mind.

Zombie, you raise a fair point, but I can tell you that we would be complaining no matter what.  PD included a ton of older GT content in GT5 and GT6, in the form of "standard" cars, and we complained to the end of the earth.  I personally have no problem with that, since there are a ton of "premium" cars in the games and no one is required to drive the standards.  Had Turn 10 done that here, we would be complaining.  The cars in Forza 5 are light years ahead of prior Forza games, both in terms of graphics and sound, but also FFB and physics.  I doubt that Turn 10 could just port the cars over from prior Forza games, they likely have to redo them from the ground up.

NOTE: Dont wish to start another Thread war, just bugs me when a company treats it buyers badly. After all T10 is a first party publisher!

I get that.  The cost is a huge factor.  I am into my Forza 5 set up for more than $1000 at this point.  For less than that, I could have bought a new 780ti GPU for my PC that would allow me to run a ton of PC games on triple screens at max settings.  sad

I think zombie means (and I think this too) Cannot they do New, never been on Froza cars.

I know they have to rebuild all the cars etc so if they are going to that much effort why not include brand new cars not stuff that was DLC in the ast games?

Have we ran out of Awesome cars to put in. I know The Atom would be Awesome. Or a Brooklands Capri, Astra GTE, Chevy Cruze, MG6 etc. sad

It takes time to redo a (even previously used) 3d model for a new game engine.  You have to pay the developers for their time.  Makes sense to me?

I agree with all of you, they do spend alot of time modeling these cars. But thinking of everyone spending money for these packs, and only getting 5 new cars outta 50 gets my fur up.

I hear ya Zombie.  But I just do not feel like I am getting screwed with the car packs for a Forza game that is the first iteration for Xbox One.  Now, if I buy Forza 6 for Xbox One 1 1/2 years from now, and they charge me for a DLC pack that includes the GT-ONE, that is a different story.  Anyway, I drove the GT-ONE last night and it felt every bit as good as a car that is brand new to the franchise.  I have driven the car many miles in GT5 and GT6, but it still felt entirely new and better than any other sim.

Every car pack has at least one car that I wanted, and some of the car packs in F4 were cars from F3. I've accepted that Turn 10 is kind of starting from scratch, but at 10 cars per pack there isn't a single car offered that isn't worth $1.
