Congrats w00b! I forgot how much I love that track! Love + Hate all rolled into one!
I do like running there though. You run 5 laps there in one car and you feel like you can take any car out in any class and rock it! I always preferred running faster cars than I am confortable with and get a clean lap then stepping way back in classes and then progress back up. That was how I used to do it... haven't had the time for those sessions lately though.
I just put my first real Ring session in over the past 2 days and I am back in love! I only had time for around 8 total laps, but the addiction has already returned and I am jonsing a tad as I type this. It is so tough but yet so rewarding.. even if you dirty the lap in the last section! - D'OH! ok, not that!
I want to get my Rivals time down and go after TrackAssassin (sick sitting at 7:12 at last check), but I will be happy with a clean 7:20.
I do hope they use the ring for more monthly's. It is one track that if anyone that enters that rivals mode they will have to work a bit to get the reward.
I remember the first few times I did this. It's truly a big deal to get that first clean lap, and then to get to where you can do it with any kind or regularity is even harder. I don't think anyone takes a clean lap on the Ring for granted...
Finally pulled a clean lap on the Ring! Did it in an A class BMW 1M, in a time of 8:54:059
Not bad for me. Though I always figured I would do it in one of my Subaru's.
Congrats. It's not as hard as it seems. You just have to dial it back a bit and brake earlier than you normally would. Nothing beats that feeling when you see yourself atop somebody on the leaderboard who has a faster time by 30 secs. or so because theirs is a dirty lap. Be sure to point it out to them.

I'd rather be fast & dirty, than slow and clean Dial nothing back!
Way to go fella. Now to do a clean lap and get in to the 40's
well done not an easy track to run clean
I tried this tonight in the rivals 8 minutes in 7 tries AHHHHHHHHHHH will give it another go may be in a good A class car ..
