Damn it you guys...

Quit ramming in single player.  Your drivatars are making this full retard.

Carry on.

Your request has been heard, then promptly disregarded. Ramming speed!

LOL while my drivatar was syncing I rammed every car I could. Have fun! 1

Honestly though I do suck so if you see my drivatar it might be good to stay clear.

I was wondering about this giving the tendency to not consider the AI's feelings. I wonder, is this Karma?

I can't count the number of times your drivatar has rammed me going into corners Ammo.  It's gotten to the point where I just hit the brakes and watch him fly out into the void, while I  cruise on by.

You guys realize that the first uploaded data for a drivatar is those 5 beginner races with beginner cars, no upgrades and probably a controller not yet configured, not to mention driving aids all cattywhompus? It might take a bit to let the drivatars "learn" beyond their initial programming.

Have fun out there! 138

All Drivatars, I assume, drive slower than their real life counterparts.  I have raced some aces (on LB) and they are much much slower.  Dan never mentioned "crash free"; he said human like.  Anyways, as soon as you stay clear of the initial pack, the Drivatars are actually really good; but they are no human.

So, in advance, I would like to sincerely apologize for the advances my Drivatar made in your races.

NunderWoob thats freaking funny cause your drivatar is a PITA in my races lol.    Seems like every race your drivatar is the one I'm having to chase down for first.   It is fun though watching all these things try to make the first turn, such carnage.

I haven't raced online or continued my 'forced into racing now' beginning series, but I have read that increasing your drivatar's difficulty might help make them better.

I guess that makes some sense... has anyone noticed if that is indeed true?

I'll try it tonight when I get home.  If I start a race and Nunderwoob's drivatar in a truck though I'm just gonna pull of the track 18

I haven't tried 'unbeatable' yet. I've had it at pro for a while, after starting it at the one just under pro. Pro and the one under(expert?) seem to be about the same, which is although the driveatars are faster in 'Pro' level, the race usually goes about the same, which is about the same as forza4. You have a bunch of cars at the back of the pack doing absurdly idiotic things that hold you up while the front 3 drivers get a huge lead... 4,5,6 bundle up and 7,8,9 are half decent. You have to get lucky to not get run off the road by any of 10-16, or get really hyper aggressive and just push them out of the way so you have any bit of a chance of catching the front of the pack.

Yeah, I know, sounds just about exactly like Forza 4.... Except now the economic structure actually forces you to do stupid improper racing stuff so that you can ensure that you get enough cash to then do what you really want to do. Which in turn trains your driveatar to drive like a complete wanker, which then inserts a whole bunch more complete wankers into your races ( and all our friends race) for you to enjoy yourself while you attempt the slow death march through the desert of the Grind, Grind.... Grind for credits.

To this point, I have not seen any of your driveatars behave in any way that vaguely resembles the way you drive. Except Snappy.... his driveatar is still, as expected.... a Gentleman Racer... ;)

I can confirm the Drivatars do not get that much better in Unbeatable mode either.  There are 3~5 fast ones at the front but the ones at the back of the pack are frequently problematic.

The top cars in Unbeatable mode are really good and gives you EXCELLENT races.  I have never had 1 full lap of hard racing with any AI before FM5; these guys are fun to race with.  The lines they take and the mavouevers they pull through the corner are sometimes amazingly human!

The intermediate Drivatars, similar to real life, likes to dive in towards the corner even if they are 5 car lengths behind.  I see them coming from behind, I brake, start to turn in, anticipating a crash then BOOM.  Only way to deter them is to stay on the inside, OFF the racing line.

So, to confirm, you can't pick your drivatar buddies?

No, not independently.

Glad to hear my Drivatar is not an asshole. TBH, I may be done with this version soon. I am just going to run Free Play races where in can run with a limited number of opponents. This will hopefully allow me to drive in a sane fashion until my Drivatar is fully trained. Then, I'm done with Forza 5.
