DRC no worries the bumps and paint scraping was part of the race it was not anything to apologize for . It was a fun race and pretty clean overall I did my far share of paint scraping myself. See you on the track. For the new guys keep your head up you will slowly but surely improve your racing skills . I've been playing forza 4 for almost a full year this being my first Forza game ever and I to started way in the back on all races . Now is when I'm ending up in the mid to front group during races and I just got my first place finish in a race series about 2weeks ago. Talk about an adrenalin rush. Such close racing and to have Brtguy all over my ass in the first race for several laps and to hold him off for 3rd was the highlight for me. Between him and ink in the second race, they did everything they could to get around me but didn't force the issue. Much respect. It was a blast to run with you guys. Also, congrats to shrimp on your second win.
Yea these are darned fun cars for sure and it's just a blast racing so close and to have a full room with bumping and grinding but no yellow flags is pretty tough to do.Awesome race and awesome paints!
The tune for Hockenheim is on my SF for anyone who wants it!
Also, I'm considering a couple of changes.
1. Handicapping runs with Ghosts OFF. Especially for this track because the HP will be critical.
2. Offering a choice of HP or Grip handicaps. (I'll have to do some testing to come up with a formula of grip handicap that equals X amount of power handicap) I'm thinking that 5% front and rear grip handicap is equivalent to the 15% HP handicap on most tracks.
3. TWO ROOMS. The interest has been pretty good and if everyone joins who says they want to, we won't have enough room for them all.
This would require someone willing to host a 2nd room. In this case it would seem fair to group Room A and Room B guys according to speed similar to the BTCC Series.
Not a big fan of the grip handicap, just changes the character of the car too much for my taste. I think on this track especially the ghosts should be on cuz there is lots of opportunity for contact. Two rooms? Say we get a full room and there are one or two more that got on a little late and havent really ran much but would like to, you would split up a full room to go say.8 and 9 or 9 and 9 and all the conection issue involved with that? Just saying.... For me I would do a wait and see and make a decision at the time if need be with input from everyone in the lobby at that moment. You know some, cuz some would bow out or give up room or whatever need be you know? I know I have before and it wasn't a big deal, I was happy to give up the spot that time to a newer member who ended up having a total blast the whole evening after that race with the fellas.
Some of us spend a bit of time getting the tune just right for the car to the track which makes all that pointless.
Power handicaps work just fine IMO.
I would stick with what Burnt has said, wait til you know how many want in and make a decision then. If you need a second room there are plenty that can host that are already in the series and if it is just 1 new guy stuck then 1 of us would give up a seat to let them in.

Looks like if "everyone" shows up who is interested we might need more than one room. If that is the case I would need a volunteer for a 2nd room. I have settings for this race saved, so I can send those over. (Nice and EASY) At least this way I'll be prepared if we NEED to.
If anyone needs something let me know. If you KNOW you are going to be a good deal off the pace please send me a message on here or XBL at least an hour before the race. Doing a slight tweak to your build will allow a little more speed without forcing more handicaps on others and we can discuss that.

I think whats going on here is people are purposely creating a tune (most likely changing the gear ratios) knowing that they will recieve a predetermined handicap to make the car more competitive with said handicap, affectively attempting to circumvent the handicap system. This is why Gizzies SEAT event has restrictions on the final gear ratio.
