Ice Cream Sandwich
No I'm not talking about the tasty treat.
I just got ICS on Saturday for my Droid 4 and I'm wishing I wouldn't have now.
My phone has slowed down considerably now. It hangs on half my apps. That's if the app doesn't crash first. ![]()
And here's the best part, my battery will randomly drain to 10% in about 3 hours from a full charge just sitting there.
If I would have known this was upcoming and known the issues I would have declined the update until a later time.![]()
Anyone else had any of these issues? I hear there is a bug fix in the works but no date yet.

Yikes. Not sure what I am running but if I get a message about an update, I am declining.
The version i got Saturday is 4.0.4 Look under "About Phone" in system settings and it's listed under "Android Version"
If you have one earlier than that I would keep it until the patch has been announced. I understand the Razzr series owners are having a rough time with it too.
I have not gotten notification either, but I think I will also decline until a later date.
Thanks for the heads-up Leviticus.
I have a Droid 4- and I upgraded yesterday. (side note, I got the message about ice cream sandwich and totally thought my phone was hacked or something because it sounded deliciously suspicious!). There are pros and cons, imo. I like the sleaker look and the menus much better. I don't use too many different apps, so I haven't noticed considerable slowdown. The only complaint I have (so far, it's only been a day) is that text is harder to read for me- it seems like the font is smaller. Otherwise, I kinda like it. :)
my phone had it factory installed and i love it!.gif)
if you guys are having problems is it carrier specific, phone specific, etc?
Maybe post up what carrier and phone you have if you are having a problem. Just a suggestion.
A friend has it on his Droid Razr and it seems to run pretty smooth. Pretty much as smooth as my iPhone.
I had ICS on my Galaxy 2 Tablet, and liked it. However, I rooted it and put Jelly Bean (4.1.1) on it. Now it runs really nice.
Ya, I've heard that Jelly Bean fixed a lot of the issues. Looking forward to that.
