Hey Parcell. Maybe you can open up the skid recovery for tonights race.I find that gt5 suck for me without SR.
Are you serious? Its 4WD.
Zero
When it comes to GT5 YOU are a better driver than I am. I just tried my best to get some laps in at Cape (let alone get to the other tracks) with no SR or Traction Control. That wasn't even the problem. I am running the braking line and breaking way before the red and I can't even slow down. Hit the rail every time. EXCRUCIATING!!!...I still haven't figured out GT5 yet. Some weeks no problem..Soft Tires..Seems to be no problems..Hard Tires...Problems. I gotta laugh because it seems like niche racing. One has to be experienced enough (Many Laps) to race. I am not there yet with these hard tires. I will keep trying but so far..Nothing that I could say that would keep me somewhat competetive. I was over at Forza today practicing with a Smart Car and it hug the corners...Braked...Had what I would say a good flow then I tried out this car and it literally beat me a new ass. I would be dangerous on the track!.... Maybe next week!
I just ran a few laps with tonights car and it does feel a little better with SR. I was suprise to see it handled pretty good without, Your call Parcells.
All I was trying to say was I enjoy racing gt5 with SR on. I also said that this weeks car handled pretty good without SR. Give me a break, I'm Old.
Rusty...You Crack Me Up...How Old are you getting to be anyway? As for the car handling...You are way ahead of me!...I need to quit crying and go practice up!
P.S. As much as I hate Forza Issues I can somewhat compete but GT5 is a challenge!....Zero said it would be easy!!!

Wheels, you already are kicking my ass in GT5 and so you must be doing something right. I have over 1000 cars in my garage and am level 40 aspec and bspec. So, whether you believe it or not, you rock at this game.
I have no problem with using SRF, or even with using that and switching to sport soft tires. Whatever floats your boat, I just want to race.
I have the same time restrictions tonight, gotta take the kiddos to swim lessons and so I am out at 7pm PST. I should be able to log on by 5:30pm or so, assuming the Mrs. doesn't give me a hassle.

You are The Man!..I may be able to hang in there racing but it may be a mental block with the hard tires. I should of just listen to Parcells and just race instead of whining and crying! I was more concerned about everyone else seeings how I had a hard time braking (Maybe it was my equipment)! I promise..Next Week..No W&C (Whining and Crying)!
Downloading updates now. Be there in a few. Hopefully you don't intend on running the new track.....as w/ Sony's server maintenance, I've been unable to acquire the goodies.
LOL Unless someone beats me to it I will schedule a car with decent handling for next week, if nothing else to convince Wheels we do not always drive the very slippery cars we have done the past couple of weeks.
No one gives a shit if you struggle and cause issues with another competitor because you're having difficulty keeping the car under control, that probably happens to at least one person every race anyway. I know it happened to me 3-4 times over the past couple of spec races…it was very easy to overcook things the past two weeks.
Furthermore this car simply did not stop well at all. Sounds like some people were adjusting the balance a whole lot. Personally I had to start breaking WAY before the red brake line appeared and even then had to pump the pedals to stop the bastard, it was part of the “fun”
At the risk of flaring tempers I really want to re-address the SRF assist. I wish you would have joined last night Wheels so we could have turned SRF on for you. Because this car was so slippery I bet if you had skid recovery on and the rest of us didn’t you would have walked right through us with minimal ease. And of course super powered race cars (again VERY easy to lose) it’s nice to have SRF simply because it’s so easy to lose control and this assist masks that in a huge way which is why we adopted the below rule which I just copied and pasted from the unofficial event rules.
As you can see, we are there to please just about anyone’s driving preferences just be prepared to take some good natured rubbing from the rest of us if you cry like a 12 year old girl and want us to allow SRF…no problem at all. Personally, I look forward to when we bring up a race car and Zero put's in his request for SRF at which point Dan and I make fun of him, but that's just my nature in how I care so much about people.
General Points of interest, Rule # 5:
“You can use any driving/game assist you want. That said Parcells will force skid recovery OFF at the beginning of the night but if you’re not Man enough to handle it, let us know and we’ll allow it.”
Wheels...if you want, have a look at the spreadsheet and all the cars we've run to date. If there are any you fancy we can re-run it next week (was what I was going to do anyway). Or if you want to build one from scratch by all means (just make sure it's a premium car so we can all buy it). FYI... I do plan on building some new spec cars over the next couple of weeks while I'm on vacation.

Parcells
Whatever you guys pick is good enough for me. I have to learn to drive ALL all types of cars in various builds....Zero Said So!!!
Always a good idea not to upset the precious lawyers Wheels! However, on Thursday evenings between the hours of 7-11 EST in Parcell's GT5 lounge we do not subscribe to that nonsense.

Parcells, feel free to shove mine out a week if you wish to. I won't be too hurt by it.
Was about to grant you your wish but looks like someone beat me to it. Is that you Wheels setting up next weeks Lotus? Just asking, keep up the good work.
As far as the mistaken identity is concerned, LAWYER presented a compelling argument and we were really concerned for you. I may have made some snotty remarks about your questionable driving skills but I really thought it was an imposter...because of LAWYER!
Not many people run them.....and they are actually one of my favorite cars. I'll try to finish compiling tracks.....feel free to add some if there are any you really want to run. I was going to try to get a mix of Original/RealWorld/City to get some variety.
Hey guya, I went to the GT Sports Car event ar Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday (I live in Indy, go to The Track all the time.) I thought you guys might like these pics. I made sure to grab a few pics of the one Mini Cooper that was in the early race. These are the ones I posted to my Facebook Album (any one can see them.) If youre on FB feel free to send me a friend request.
Helios, if you're definitely in this Thursday we'll go with your Eclipse, just confirm please.
The build must be finalized by 7:000 EST tonight but I've decided not to penalize you for incomplete track selection under the new rule I made up only because the transmission is not tuneable. IndyColt has a car all ready so if you're not sure about this week we'll use his car this week and yours when you're fairly confident you'll make it, whatever you decide, you're in charge, we're still happy your account didn't get hacked.
Oh and if you're looking for track suggestions we haven't raced the top gear test track in ages, need to correct that in the coming weeks. I still think the figure 8 layout is ludicrous but the combination of turns is pretty nice.

Guys, there is a restocked OCD, and so you might decide to pick a spec car from there.
Just saying'

My Deepest Apologies!!!

Hmmm, I've got an idea for a car....
Always been one of my favorite cars, and it's one that I think gets frequently overlooked. I'll work on putting one together. It'll be a surprise!
And BTW, yes it was me last night (ahem LAWYER
). My headset is packed up in a box somewhere from the move.....need to locate it.
Parcells, feel free to shove mine out a week if you wish to. I won't be too hurt by it.

Pick any tracks you like Helios, Parcells is feeling lucky.
Just pick them before 7:00 EST Sunday evening else you may incur a penalty.
How can you go wrong with a Lotus? I don't see how!

The Lotus drives nicely. I got a PP of 502 after building it.
Zero
PP502 for Me too!!
I got to hand it to you guys...I tried out 3 tracks and couldn't stop. Bump off the barriers consistently. WTF??...Will be a Fun Night!
