operation RAPTER weekend challenge.. SUCCESSFUL

This one's easy.  I've got 5 lvl20 characters and one level 18 so i'll just finish that level 18 off and bump him and then toss my Vanguard in as well.  I already promoted 4 characters last weekend, my single player game's gotta bee 1000% prepared for war by now.. shit!

Friday, March 30 – Sunday, April 1

The Reaper horde is growing, so we must as well. Effective military strength needs to increase, and veterans must train conscripts so that they, in turn, can train others.

Allied Goal: Promote 150,000 characters. Victory Packs awarded to all players upon successful completion.
Individual Goal: Promote 2 characters. Commendation Pack awarded to individual players upon successful completion.

Welcome to the next N7 Multiplayer Weekend!

Last weekend our community operatives united to train a record number of new recruits.  The time has come to turn these new recruits into battle-hardened veterans.

Join the war against the Reapers online between 5PM PST Friday, March 30th to 5AM PST Monday, April 2nd and promote at least 2 characters to your single player campaign.

This operation includes PC and Xbox 360; we are continuing to work with Sony to enable these types of Operations on the PlayStation 3 platform.  We appreciate your patience, and we expect an update later this week regarding Operation Raptor and the PlayStation 3.

Commendation Packs will be awarded to individual soldiers who complete their training, and a Victory Pack will be awarded to everyone if the Allied Goal is achieved.  Packs will be available to download the following week.  Please note that participants need to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options to be able to participate in Operation RAPTOR.

*Some restrictions may still apply, Operation Raptor is not open in all regions.  PlayStation 3 eligibility will be determined as soon as possible.

WOrk sometiimes gets in the way....  someday i'll be able to jack my brain right into the internet and be realtime 24x7 :)

That sucks Bunny.... hopefully they can work out the logistics.  I don't see how this event is any different than the previous Goliath event where they awarded packs for completion.  I was thinking the 150,000 community goal was pretty low, maybe that's why.

Not too happy about this. Apparently it's just for 48 states. I have no idea why this event is different than the others but if Canada gets shafted I am gonna be fuking pissed

Re: Operation RAPTOR

Confidentiality Classification: XA-PRIME

Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way,

I am pleased at the number of promotions achieved during Operation RAPTOR. The influx of veterans and leaders is already proving invaluable in our fight against the Reapers.

While our comrades spread across the galaxy to carry on the fight, you must reconstitute your forces and bring new fighters to the fore. The N7 cadre has never been an easy calling, but your guts and determination have made you the most feared fighting force the Alliance has ever known. Prepare yourself; there will be more challenges in our future. Good fortune favors the prepared mind… and arsenal.

–Admiral Hackett

Congratulations on another successful N7 Operation!

We had a record number of soldiers promoted last weekend: over 350,000, shattering our previous community goal of 150,000.

Victory Packs and Commendation Packs will arrive no later than Wednesday April, 4th. Make sure to redeem them and begin training your new recruits. Operation Beachhead is scheduled to deploy next weekend, April 6th- 8th and will require expert trained soldiers to complete. Stay tuned for more information on Operation Beachhead later this week.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't flip my soldier class if they're needed for next weekend. I was going to do this challenge, but am still missing all the Krogan Characters and didn't want to flip them without them. I'm still waiting on a Asari Adept too. PITA.

Sounds like a gold challenge is incoming. I'd love to do silver and gold runs with fellow 2o2p'ers instead of randoms. I'm on the FOF list but I'm generally not on until 10:00CST.

Did anyone else not receive their Victory Packs and Commendation Packs from last weeks event?

I checked again this morning and still nothing.

I got one pack but not the other. The game has been glitching terribly.

Just read on Bioware forums that they suspended packs temporarily due to a glitch where people found out a way to get multiple packs

Thanks,  I was getting pissed that I had still not recieved my Commendation pack yet, figured the game just glitched out again and probably didn't count one of my promoted characters...again

Good to know!

I checked my account late last night and was let down there wasn't anything there.

So if we see anybody with maxed out N7 weapons, guess that glitch would be to blame (or did they not give out another N7 weapon this time?)

I think the glitch has somethign to do with host migration in the lobby after you buy a pack.  Or shit, maybe it's related to the money glitch , if you're in the due on wave 10 of gold phase, maybe if you buy a pack at the lobby then do the money glitch , then when you're back at the lobby maybe the pack is available again ?

Update on these packs from the bioware forums:

Quote:
Hi all,

Wanted to give an update about the fix for the exploit. We have a fix for the issue but it needs lots of testing. We will grant the Commendation Pack for Operation Raptor next week after the fix goes live.

It was posted yesterday (Apr 5th)

I sure hope that doesn't mean the people who didn't get the victory pack prior to the Timmy stampede get the shaft.

Well they finally released the reward packs for this operation.

Opened my last night... and now I have a shiny fancy level II N7 Crusader - big freaking whoop :(

I really want that N7 Valiant - grr.

I got the N7 Sniper Rifle, is that the Valiant?  I was happy with my item drop for sure.  I go tthe Eagle in the last pack and the Valiant in this one, the two guns I wanted.  I"m shocked i didn't add to my fairly complete collection of Shotguns.

Valiant is really nice. I've been trying to decide between it and the my Widow III. I think it's really situational depending on the map and difficulty but they are both good guns. Valiant on bronze is a great way to rack up points.
