I Weep for Humanity

Johnny Depp plays Tonto opposite Armie Hammer as the masked avenger in "The Lone Ranger,"  directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It's filming now in New Mexico for a May 2013 release.

Wow...remaking old westerns is the new rage I think?  Lone Ranger and Tonto though?

Another remake?  No wonder I watch fewer and fewer movies each year.

I agree.  I've stopped watching any remakes / reboots.  Give me something new or I'm not really interested.  For what it costs to go to the theater I'm not interested in seeing a "repeat".

I watched John Carter this past week.

It wasn't too bad.  Nothing spectacular, but not complete trash either.

It actually made $184 million worlwide, but half goes to the studio and half to the theaters. Movie cost 250 million + 100 milion on marketing.

They will lose $200 million according Walt Disney Corp.

Remember Epic Beard man?

Sure you do, everyone who has spent a minute on the internet has. A 67 year old veteran knocked out  a black man who confronted him on the bus.

Well apparently they made a movie about it. Except in the movie Epic Beard Man defends the black dude from skin heads. LOL

ya know, it actually looks entertaining - but saying it's based on a true story is just lame.  with the aging population and wholesale deuchebaggery level of most of the younger generations the movie could sell just on the idea of an old dude breaking his foot off in a bunch of young punks asses. and it has danny trejo in it, that guy rules.

Gee, I did not think the remake of True Grit was bad. Maybe this would not be too bad as well?
