Here's an idea for a one-off race, 1998 Le Mans using the McLaren, the Nissan R390, and the Porsche 911 GT1, 75 to 90 minutes.
That sounds like fun most of these endurance races used to be on the ring. Quite like Le Mans happy to do some testing, not that I can tune for toffee but happy to do some runs with you when you're about.
Would these be in stock trim or would a degree of tuning be permitted? Perhaps you can only tune the adjustable parts fitted as stock for example? Have not driven any of them in race series but happy to run some tests to ensure performance parity and mebbe some builds if they are not equal?
I'm thinking stock with tuning allowed. Maybe add race brakes if they don't already have them.
I'm OK with upgrading to balance performance if that is deemed necessary.
Maybe if Seeker doesn't mind giving up the slot after the Exige series, we could run a short four race endurance series with these, Sebring, Le Mans, and two other tracks. As I said before races would be 75 to 90 minutes.
Ran a wee test session with these cars ealier, ran stock and just tuned the original parts to my liking, am wondering if am using correct mclaren cos the other 2 KILL it at LeMans lol, mostly due to lack of top end speed in the mclaren, There is option of adding more power but no sure that will help much. May be more even at other tracks but what others do we have in mind?
I ran some laps in these this weekend, too. The McLaren is down on top speed compared to the other two. My suggestion is to lock the final drive of the Nissan and Porsche to equalize top speed among the three.
Here's my preferred track list to give it a world championship feel.
the final drive wasnt really tweeked on any of these cars excessively, obviously the aero was turned way down for le mans, based on the other tracks mentioned, probably wouldnt be an issue anywhere else and less of one if we use le mans with chicanes. Mclaren arguably most stable in turns....................
Ive got 2 ideas Ive bounced around, one Id like to do b4 its too long: a vintage Trans Am series. Ive got notes from series run by this club before to use as a base. I'd thought of different options, and will post in a day or two. For now, it'd likely be a 4-6 race series of 1969 and earlier spec'd cars. 5 manufactiureres, one each model/manuf. B500, little engine buffs; mostly tires, suspension. Make drivers matter.
More to come. I just wanted ro toss the idea out before I can't, or too many finally retire XB 360's...
Am hoping not too many more get retired as it will be a while yet before i move up to x1 if ever....
Also noted its gonna be 12 months without a btcc championship as last one was jan this year i think. I also has some refinements for this. There was always a problem at race starts with rwd cars punting the slower fwd off, so was thinking future btcc style cups should be fwd only, with power reduced to bout 250-270 bhp like season 1. Also the vw golf, scirocco and honda civic would be banned as these were always the quickest cars by far. most of the other possibilities were quite similiar if i mind the 12 or so i built for season 2!!
Other idea was for a thundersaloon style event for saloons only rwd only higher weight limit (3000 lbs ish) and 400 450 bhp, for stuff like audi s4 bmw 5 series lexus, caddy cts etc etc. Lairy overpowered rwd should be interesting, sounds like modern version of duffers idea lol.
I can write up regs for any o these if so needed but we will be in january for any of these series now.
@duffer if ya need a hand with any o the ideas for yours holler eh

We did something similar to this in Battle of the Heavyweights and it worked well and was a lot of fun.
Hi all i know not exactly Forza 4 but thought here would be a good place to get a first look interest, I am thinking about doing 2 non Forza related meets, one for the 360 and one for XBone.
The first for 360 being a F1 2013 meet on a weekday where we can team up and have a 50% race distance F1 season, All cars equal balanced and a fun series I have mentioned it a couple times to General and think it could be fun and that you can pick up a copy on 360 for silly money now and that F1 2014 from what I've seen is a carbon copy of 2013 so a bargain for all.
The second for XBone users would be a week night each week where we all get onto GTA 5 and cause some greif to the rozzers in Los Santos, considering Rockstar have set a release date for the Heists too (Dec 23rd for those interested) I thought now would be a good time to get the feelers out to see if we can get a few of us on each week to rob a bank or 2 (or whatever the heists may be).
Let me know what you think be nice to hear your views.
Sorry guys, I still want to do my trans am series, but Im having a lot of problems from last back surgery... Ive been on a little, but cant commit. My wife thinks I gotta call Dr, so thats a bad sign... Will be around, eventually...

Sorry to hear your back is still giving you greif, rest up see the Doc. We'll still be here bud, we can Trans Am it up any time. The important thing is you're heath. Take care, Get well soon.
Yea am up for some f1 action although i suck at it thru not playin the game enough, will give me an excuse to tweek the wheel for that game as i suspect it will need a special set up....Re GTA will have to wrestle my copy back from the lad i leant it to...which may be interesting lol.
As regards future forza series all my ideas can be ready fairly quickly as have given some thought to the likely regulations and most of it writes itself as we have all done several series now. This is in case duffer is unable to do his transam series directly after the gt1 series
@duffer hope your back gets better soon bud, take all the time u need to recover we will still be here going round in circles lol, all the best eh
I would consider buying F1 2013 if there is significant group to race.
I think if we make it they will come - just from reading the last couple posts theres 2 definates and a few maybes so thats about 5 already might be something to look into a bit more in the new year.
I like the idea of both types, more a GT3 guy myself but will run in anything
+1 for that. sounds fun
+1 :)
Yep +1
How about trying one or two quick races with the Exige Cup cars after the main race this Sunday?
We did a quick Exige Race afther the Cup.
Maplel Full with 3 racers on track.
This car is quite a handfull in standard configuration, so don't forget to practice.
Would like to fill the sunday gap with some races with this car.
I started a thread to discuss the Exige Cup series details.

I've run this before in a previous club with FM3. Fuel usage was greater then and I tried and failed to make the end on a single tank.
I don't tune either. I rely a lot on ForzaTune.
Check out this artice at Jalopnik if you haven't seen it already.
When Supercars Raced at Le Mans.
I like it!
Do you want to lead on the organising Thane? sure we can sort out a slot for it. I know i'd definately be in!
Count me in on that one.

If you need a Points Sheet making up let me know Ill set one up :)
Might be time to set up a thread for this too?

Suzuka
Road America
One of the Euro tracks. Somebody else pick.
Le Mans
No problem having someone else host a race series. I may join in.
Id vote for silverstone for this

yea sorry to hear that Duffermac. Get better.
I don't have either of those games Snoop.
I didnt expect many to have the games but thought it may be something new we could get our teeth into.
