Thats no fun, not sure why lag was so bad ive never seen it like that before. would the update have had any affect? well tis a marathon not a sprint so ya know. if more than 50% of drivers are dropped i think i may call a re run in june after bathurst in may. tbh not a great start to the 2o4f endurance yearly championship lol.
Well, that's a bummer. About 15 minutes to go my daughter tells me I've gotta immediately pick-up my wife's anti-inflammation drug . . . Hence the early departure . . .
Yep, sounds fine by me. As you say 550 miles might be a bit too much to catch up!
I can see the next race being a killer. Got to make sure any mistakes happen near the pits otherwise some serious lots laps lost while limping back.
I'm not sure about lagging issue. I saw both Gizzie and GRD floating around a bit in the race (and vice versa I think) so not sure there is much we can do? Could try a convene for a practice sessions to see if its any better.
Also, KC experienced a bad collision due to cars jumping around (my car in this case). In retrospect, I should have called a CAUTION so that we could recollect ourselves. This did not occur to me at the time and I feel bad for it because we were having a good race. I think a CAUTION protocol should be established in case of lag incidents such as this.
There is Local Caution protocol on All tracks to inform all drivers to slow through sections where an incident has occoured for all tracks. this means call out when an incident occours and where. obviously on indy its a small track but i agree should still have been called.
I am a little annoyed about the lag issues and disconnections however a few tips:
Ensure you are using a wired connection to your XBone
Make sure anything using your WiFi is not downloading or is disconnected from the router
Ensure anything using your Wired (ethernet) connection is not downloading or is switched off or disconnected from your router
Make sure your XBone is not downloading anything in the background
Clear your Cahce before starting your game.
I know im a pain in the bum but can I ask that all racers check in before the race with a ping and speed test to ensure we all have low pings and fair speeds. I will submit mine before about an hour before the race starts to ensure the most recent data but for reference i usual have about 8meg Download, 1meg upload, and a ping of around 21-26 dependant on time of day.
With all of this we should avoid any more of the issues we had last sunday.
Thanks again to all who are participating as this is the inaugral season (which I hope you appreciate will have some teething problems) and I would like to keep this a yearly championship run during the 'busier' winter months.
As always happy to hear your thoughts and suggestions
With Assassin's Creed Unity single missions out of the way, I'm free to do some warm ups at NBRing. Love the Ring; just gotta get the car to grip well through all those ups and downs!

I am in the 6.5X.XXX
There is more time to gain in practising on the many corners than in the tune.
Hope a more forgiving tune help's avoiding accidents.
I am racing the McLaren, afinity reasons, anybody have a tune they could share? I have tweeked it some but it stills feels jumpy, bouncing from one side of the track to the other, any ideas?

That sounds like springs and/or dampers are too stiff.
Light car + high suspension travel at NBRing + moderate downforce demands soft springs, soft bump (3~4) but 2x rebound (6~8).
i got tossed out as well

Good racing guys, not my ideal racing type but fun anyway
Results of those that finished:
KC 557 miles
Derek 553 miles
Majong 552 miles
BigDaddy 509 miles
Grd had to leave 15 mins from the end but would have been at ~520
Thanks derek what were the final results for everyone even those who DNF if it was listed?
Sorry guys photo just says dnf... I only guessed at grd's distance as he left near the end and kc knew how far ahead he was
You and gizzie left at around an hour in?

Ah no fun i know i was about 177 when i got disconnected so i expect Giz was about 10 15 up on me so yeah
lets just hope the next one goes better
I know for sure I have completed 514 miles because that was the last number I have checked before exiting the race.
Will what i will do is add what we had and take it from there as if we go from 0 its going to be a lot harder to be competetive
Thank you, Snoop; that sounds fair. I also do hope the connection for the next round is better but how do we ensure that it is?
