Hey guys! I'm pretty new here and hopefully I'm not intruding, but I have an idea to help with PS3/PS4 grouping.
When I played with a clan in Borderlands years ago, we had a dedicated Text Chat room on PS3 (not sure if this is still available on PS4) that we all went to whenever we got online. Then you could say hey everyone, I'm on, who needs an extra for their group? Who wants to PvP? Anyone want to do Story? I think you see where this is going.
Just need to have one person that's pretty active to admin it and send out invites to everyone. Then, those people can invite other people from the clan. I know it's not ideal, but it might be a good way to meet other clan members that play the game on your platform, and to keep tabs on who all is on and wanting to play what!

6 Man groups for Raids and Crucible Max.
3 Man groups for Strike/Explore/Story.
There isn't a 'chat room' like the ps3 but you can create a message with multiple recipients. Any message posted will go to everybody in that list. As far as I know it's persistant as long as you don't delete the message.
Here's a list of psn folks around here if you're interested.

Thank you for the info, I didn't know PS4 cut that out. I know they added Party Chat, and probably saw that Text Chat function as obsolete. Good to know!
And I'll go post and see about adding some people come 9/9 for some Destiny (man on man?) action.
Keep in mind Raids are something that's down the road. Gotta level up first. Each person does so at their own rate.
The other thing to think about, Bungie.net Clans. It's a feature whose implications we do not yet know. Bungie will probably let us in on the details this week. Surely to goodness it's more than a silly website forum. I'd be very pissy if it's just an out of game experience.
The Destiny forum also has the clan boards where things can be posted and orginazied. Each has their own chatbox type thing. I think the easiest way is mostly going to be setting up dates in advanced.
Starting off i think having a group night everyday on launch weak will be really important. My FL is always open and I'll be cycling in all week for all content.

I'll be playing central time 5:30 to 7:30 everyday for Destiny and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. I still have about 870 open spots on my friends list.
I'll take a leadership role for Explore, Campaign, and possibly Raids. (Xbox One)
Thanks. We'll probably need you.
So (and forgive my ignorance) is there a team of people forming for this? Xbox one player
I've been playing with a some good people in TITANFALL that way.

There is a new feature on XB1 where you post a message to your activity fee. "I'M READY TO RAID IN DESTINY".
Might help.
Hi. I'm down for raids...anything really. I'm on the east coast. Send a FR and I'll be there. I'm on XB1.

I'll be avail most nights after 7 or so. Pretty sure I have available spots on my FL:
I've got a Warlock level 25 (almost 26) ready for weekly strike, almost ready for the raid. I posted in the FPS forums under "Destiny Weekly Strike".
My GT-XBone is Mighty Meepo.
Add me and let's have some fun killing some alien scum! :)
