about that Mini too...I just realized the other day we ran this car less than a month ago, oops sorry about that but its stilll a mini it'll be fine and I think I should reserve the last Mini race for Tsukuba right?
That was it. Adding the Flat floor add neary 30PP to the build and drasticly improves the performance. You might want to add that to the build sheet if we are to use it.
This is for sure your last pre-race report...I think tonight I'm gonna start speaking in terms of my own time zone instead of EDT just because and only on-line so no big deal.
As the summer solstice approaches we'll mix things up a bit this week. Instead of a spec car we'll go with three non-spec cars, one for each hour and vote on the tracks. The Peugot and SEAT are so damn close in performance (same HP, 8 differential on the PP) I think it be fun to open up both cars at the same time unless it turns out to be blatantly unfair which seems unlikely....go 45 minutes with each car then 30 minutes with both?
I have a request to run one of the Monster Sport trucks as a spec car but before I can go with it I need to know if people can afford it so…Can anyone NOT afford the ~ 1.8 mill price tag?
Pretty sure Jason can't unless he's come across some credits of late?
If you haven't seen there is another fairly big update required before joining tomorrow night's races...600 MB.
The VW vision car has me intrigued and I was thiking of running strictly vision cars one week so anyone not up for that? Any particular vision car peple want to drive??? Was thinking we could pick three and give each an hour?
Your concern is appreciated Jimmee. Furthermore the situation is very disappointing because you’re an excellent driver and it sucks big time that you’re having these issues and surely PD/Sony is at fault.
I’m at a total loss as to what to try beyond possibly trying a different router if that’s an option. It hasn’t worked for you in the past but last night we were trying to get you to leave and come back in hopes that resolved it as a couple guys did the same (ones that couldn’t see you) so we were trying to get you to try the same once more even though is hasn’t worked in the past.
Please feel free to keep trying any time and in all honesty if the issues continue I think you should start up a room and then we’ll all join your room in hopes that the issues disappear with you being the host? We would definitely have no problems giving this a go so please consider it and let me know if you want to try that.
Thanks. I have to get my stuff together and be on time. If I remember right there was a night that I was 2nd in the room and everyone could see me and vice versa. Its all on me to get there on time.
Didn't get a chance to run the Mercedes Vision cars but also wasn't necessary, no doubt there as good as the other 3 I tried. In any case we'll be running the Mitsubishi and VW Vision cars this week (VW up first). No spec car this week, which may be a summer theme as I discover more awesome cars we've yet to drive like the Senna F3 car plus lots of untouched race and touring cars, we'll run 1.5 hours each car.
Also not predetermining any tracks at this point unless anyone wants to run something specific by posting below. Parcells will most likely pick some before race time and I might even let you know what they are depending on how much weed I smoke.
Bout time you got some of that "honey to-do" list straigtened away Wheels. Best advise I've ever given is to not to excel too much at anything else people will come to expect great things from you. Underpromise, over deliver if you will. Works for all areas of life.
What is this groove you speak of? Just stay behind Parcells and try to keep up you'll be fine.
Still haven't decided on any tracks as of yet EXCEPT I do plan on running each car at the long version of the Red Bull Ring, perhaps the short as well??? Some F1 tracks for sure, should probably run some of the tracks we don't often run too (Monza, Fuji stick out). Thinking hurts my head.
When you guys go back to original format: standard universal cars during pre-spec races, and thensingle spec-car + five set tracks during the 'spec car' time, then someone send me email: lemberg.j@gotown.net. This new format is complete ass - oil changes which much purchase, cars which cost hundreds-of-thousands of dollar, a lame selection of fantasy cars which must be earned, etc. The original Thursday night format was awesome because it required almost no offline racing to earn money and spec car races + tracks were always announced well in advance. This new is one cost time/money to acquire qualfied cars on random tracks = not fun. I drifted away from GT6 because I have no interest running offline races to earn meager moneny credits. Perhaps I would be better off with iRacing because racing offline vs AI just to earn money to participate in online races is a pretty out-dated concept. Not you guys' fault - shitty game design to have hundreds of cars but require you to invest hundreds of hours just to earn them.
Someone please send me message if/when old way returns - otherwise, I'm pretty much finished with this group and playing GT6. It's been enjoyable up to this point. Wish you all well otherwise.
See the next post for Thursday evening’s slightly altered (simplified) format.
Seems you hit us on a bad night after your month’s absence Jason as these were by far the most expensive cars we’ve run to date BUT they were completely free if you can spare 2 minutes to run ONE lap of a track to acquire these Vision cars when they first come out. I’ve been deliberately avoiding expensive vehicles for Thursday night’s because I know not everyone did the original cheat and I hate racing off-line as much or more than the next guy. That said, the game has been out for 7 months now so I don’t feel it’s unrealistic to expect people to have some extra cash on hand so we can eventually start running some more expensive cars. In lieu of that just what amount of money is reasonable to spend on a given night?...What amount is too high?
There cannot be very many series that you can participate in by ONLY racing on-line. The credits you win on-line are pathetic so how you expect to participate in on-line racing without doing at least some minimal off-line racing is beyond me. On that note you can acquire a million credits in less than an hour if you repeat some of the cash heavy seasonal events…To this point in GT6 a million credits would have covered you for a month of Thursday night racing easily.
As far as the oil changes go this is absolutely the right thing to do. It allows us to re-use vehicles (or vehicles you’ve used outside of Thursday evenings) and get the HP and PP rating to their maximum so people never have to lower their overall power percentage to comply with the room settings which everyone hates. Otherwise some people’s cars will have lower PP and HP ratings if their car has any mileage on it.
Cars always have been documented well in advance and will continue to do so. Moving forward tracks may or may not be pre-defined but since the only thing winning on Thursday night’s affects is our ego’s I’m not overly concerned about this.

Here is the new format for Thursday evening’s until further notice….
We choose 2 completely stock cars and run each for 1.5 hours. If I or anyone wishes to nominate specific tracks to run on we will document them otherwise we’ll choose them as we race.
Every car we run will have an oil change applied and the only upgradable parts will be better tires IF we feel there’s a need for it after driving said car.
As always has been the case if YOU wish to pick a Thursday car(s) and/or track(s) all you have to do is let me know in advance and it’ll get done.
Its bitching and moaning like this that has partially led to me no longer doing online racing outside of iRacing (there are other reasons as well). Parcells has been running this series since 2010 and it is highly successful, AND IT COSTS YOU GUYS NOTHING! If you don't like how he does things, fine, go race elsewhere. I understand why iRacing guys whine and snivel like second graders, it is horribly expensive, but I do not get it for rFactor, Forza or GT online racing. Parcells does this for fun. Stop busting his balls.
If you guys want to know why many of the most devoted 2Old4Forza race hosts have burned out, it is whining, bitching and moaning just like this. They are too nice to say it this bluntly. I am not.

Zero...Man UP...Bitching and Moaning are part of life...If My Memory serves me correctly I believe you have on occasions!...Agreed Parcells deserves a lot of credit and respect which I AGREE with. My points that I agreed with Jason were telegraphing the tracks so guys still like me could get a few practice laps in. I know a lot of you guys have far more experience with the tracks than I do. I, like Parcells, PIGGGED on the Glitch where other guys missed the boat. Cars and Credits are no problem...Parcells does a Great Job...And besides if there is anyone on this site that can hold his own against Bitching and Moaning it is Parcells...He is not the Steam Rolled Type...He runs a tight ship and I like it even though now and then I don't agree on certain aspects.
P.(arcell)S.....Zero......DEEP BREATHS!!
P.(arcell)S.S...Parcells STILL has you on retainer??
Appreciate the kind words fellas and no worries here. We all know we cannot please everyone no surprises. I took none of Jason’s feedback personal its water under the bridge.

1) Updated OP with new format. This also represents the recruiting effort I'm currently organizing over on GT Planet.
2) This week's cars/tracks below...I'll update both the second and a new post when each week's cars are decided.
3) We will still run the 1.8 Mill Motorsport rally truck Dan submitted, probably next week...last chance to announce you cannot afford it.
4) NOTE the below Lotus...the new rules allow zero upgrades so you'll probably have to purchase a new one cause the same Lotus we drove a couple months back had improved rigidity which I'm pretty sure will prevent you from joining the "tuning prohibited" lobby.

I want to apologize to the entire group - to whoever reads this, especially Al, who has been organizing this stuff since the first time I heard about this. Everything that I wrote last week was purely written out of frustration - not out of frustration with this group, but frustration from a combination of different things (mostly work.) In short, I spent the last month planning and implementing a spot-lighted event for our company - and this was mainly the reason why I wasn't around much for the past month. It all came to pass last Thursday - everything went off without a hitch and was extremely successful. Long story short - the celebration afterwards took place in the early evening here in Indy, so by the time I hopped online with you guys I was pretty toasted (hammer-drunk would be a better term.) Too many drinks, no practice in the car of the night, all the stress and wanting to unwind... I should have just gone to bed but instead, I hopped online and the night did not go well for me so I lashed out. It wasn't called for and I dont think that I meant it to be directed at any one person, but it was cerainly uncalled for. I've definitely never been treated poorly by anyone in this group in the three years that I've raced with you guys, so I hope I didn't burn any briges with my outburst last week.
I wont be racing this week or in the next few weeks - another project for work, so more time away from home. Hopefully, I'll catch up with you all in a few weeks refreshed and without a burnt-out attitude. If I'm not feeling it then I simply wont hop online and race with you guys. No sense in bringing a bad attitude online - which I think is precisely what I did the last time I was online with yhou guys.

Definitely getting closer to race time now, man that was a nice biggie, whats this there's still some left wholly crap, giddy up.
Did you add the flat floor? If so, that makes a HUGE difference

no flat floor no, too bad
If no flat floor then the PP value is wrong. I bet your car has it installed

The new seasonal events are a good way to make money because you can do them over and over for good coin especially with bonus.

Great. Updates usually mean weird room issues.
sorry guys but I can't see half the field and I don't want to cause problems.
Your concern is appreciated Jimmee. Furthermore the situation is very disappointing because you’re an excellent driver and it sucks big time that you’re having these issues and surely PD/Sony is at fault.
