I haven't played either game yet but one thing I noticed he didn't review was sounds. In a review of GT6, the car sound where nothing compared to FM5.
I will be picking up FM5 here soon and I agree that they need more tracks. I know they are doing the laser scanning to get the track as accurate as possible, but I got bored of FM4 due to the same tracks over and over. Now they have reduced them even more?? T10 cares about eye candy to much IMO.

Good catch. The sounds are better in Forza 5. Each sound for each car is much more distinct and the cars sound like you would think they are supposed to. GT6 on the other hand is hit or miss. Some sounds are great, others, such as the 15th Anniversary Shelby, are terrible.
I thought about doing a head to head comparison, since I have both games and have played them extensively, but then I stumbled across this excellent article on Destructoid, in which the writer compares both games. He is dead on correct on every point, although I do not agree that there is a huge gap in graphics between GT6 and Forza 5. Rather, although Forza 5 has sharper graphics, it is not a night and day difference over GT6.
I just picked up PGR4 at Gamestop for $2 and am having a blast playing with myself (pun intended) so I vote for it. As always, I have enjoyed being a fly in the ointment and the cheapest SOB in 2O4F. Love........
I will say this Turn 10 is being very responsive with this game. The way it plays really leaves FM4 in the dust and I think we will continue to see not only DLC cars but Tracks. Here is the latest add...
Turn 10 Studios will release a Forza Motorsport 5 update this month -- as early as next week -- that adds Drag Racing and Tag multiplayer modes, in addition to a more balanced economy.
Car prices have been reduced significantly, with the on-disc cars reduced in price by 45%. So, the $6 million Ferrari 250 GTO you’ve been saving for is now a more accessible $2 million purchase. The rate at which racers earn money has more than doubled, as well. Turn 10 estimates Forza 5 players will be able to earn exotic cars in one-fifth of the time they earned them in Forza Motorsport 4.
“We based our economy largely on Forza Motorsport 4 data,” creative director Dan Greenawalt told IGN. That $6 million Ferrari? It cost $10 million in Forza 4.
“The earn rate [in Forza 5] should have been the same,” Greenawalt explained. Player patterns are different now, however, which meant racers were earning less. And so Turn 10 adapted based on telemetry. Based on that data, Turn 10 is "making updates pretty quickly and painlessly," and will continue to do so based on community feedback.(more in the link)
The BMW M4 Coupe is somewhat disappointing, as its a Standard car, not a Premium, which means it lacks a proper cockpit. It also drives like s$#@.
Nonetheless, both GT6 and Forza 5 continue to get better. I think the credit glitch in GT6 is intentional, to address concerns that credits are too hard to obtain. Forza 5 is also getting updates to its economy.
I am a happy guy. Both games are boatloads of fun!!!
Thats great news for FM5 then and with the recent GT6 glitch it looks like both games have started to win the microtransaction fiasco. However, since this is a GT6 vs. FM5 thread its only fair to say that GT6 spanked Forza's sorry ass in this comparison...Parcells spent 1.4 billion credits in GT6 today, try to beat that hosers!

Just saw a facebook post that VIP's are getting a free Halo themed Mustang Boss 302 this month.
Yea I think we get it around the 16th. Looks pretty sweet.

Also due to recent events credits are now unlimited if you want them lol

Yeah if the credit glitch is a real glitch it would have been patched already.
As PD doesn't have to wait weeks for Sony to sign off the update they can do things on the fly.
I bet that PD leaked it to IGN.

Because of a glitch. Whether it was an intentional glitch is only speculation.
