Apologies for my 'Grojean' incident at Tower Bend in the second race. I think I ended up side swiping Kurupt as I paniced and swearved to avoid rear-ending Neverender.
Other than that, had some great door-to-door racing particularly on the first couple of laps in race one.
A great first race for me, but not so great second, after getting tangled up in an incident in front of me on the first lap any chance of a repeat win were snatched cruelly from my grasp, Nearside suspension damage lost me a second or so a lap but I set of to rescue what I could. A couple of mistakes in front gifted a couple of positions leaving me in forth with Kurupt the author of my woes ahead LOL The red mist descended and I drove my socks off to catch him, by the last lap I was on his tail and determined to somehow snatch that last podium position. On the penultimate corner he drifted a little wide and opened a gap. I took the risk and got my nose on the inside, unfortunately Kurupt found some grip and got his car turned in...except I was now just on his inside and we collided. My fault, it was a desperate move and unfortunately Kurupt came of worst. I should have gone for the under cut and tried to take him on the drag to the line. Sorry mate my bad, I am more than willing to give up that third place to you.
Aside from that it was a great afternoon racing, and the Focus was great on the day, a little tinkering with gears and engine boost got me right on the pace and I know that track well.
No problem guys that's racing....I just wanted the second race to end as quick as possibly I started feeling under the weather about half way through by the last 3 laps I was getting the sweats and fighting to keep my insides intact....once the race was finished I sprinted up the stairs and puked needles to say the last 24 hrs have not been to enjoyable. On the bright side no ballast for me next race first time since race 1 so hopefully I can take advantage of that and grab a podium or 2 :)
That thought did cross my mind the city claims the water is perfectly find but I've noticed the last few days it tastes like your drinking out of a garden hose ....I filled a bunch of jugs up the day the floods started using our brita filter there's no bottled water available in any stores currently. Price guaghing has started reports have been coming out of places selling a bag of ice for $30 and Home Depot was selling 24 mini bottles for $49 than they wonder why looting and riots start after disasters
Server is up...if it doesn't show later chances are we lost power of some sort
cheers guys
Fingers crossed for you mate,
what's the status now Kurupt ? how are you all holding up ?
Well my head is still above water and the neighbourhood is good so it's a go as long we don't lose power
I should be able to make the race.
Glad to hear you are doing well.
So after some messing I seem to be sitting in the 1:30's so given the interwebs holding out, ping was rather high I noticed. Could be a close race.
About time you let me win Boza!
LOL!! I couldn't catch you, I was trying my hardest but you had good pace. Congrats to you and Knight on the wins.

Dude that sucks, no wonder I could chase you down. Do you think it has anything to do with the floods? you are drinking bottled water yes?

Yeah profiteering is the pits, boil the water mate. just to be sure. If it tastes different then that is something to be concerned about.

Thanks church and who's this tartan character leading the way ? :)
Gonna need all the Whitney Houston I can handle this weekend :D
Lol it's a pretty easy track to pick up, hardest part is the quick chicane at the end
sat july 6th 1pm mt Snetterton
2x 15 laps races
Ballast for the race
Knight 45 kg
Boza 35kg

This is a very fast and fun track and yes, that last chicane is a bugger to figure out.
Anybody done any laps yet? Wondering what kind of times we will be looking at.
Haven't turned a lap since our last race....gonna be another struggle :(
