Anyone up for a test event?
Cars:
MG MGA
Porsche 550 Spyder
Austin Healy 3000 Mk III
Lotus 11
All built to C425 (with no aero)...I know, the 550 may have to get a slight (5%) power handicap to keep it close to the others. This is, of course, assuming all drivers of the same skill level. Or we can implement the ProAm method of handicapping to keep the racing close. The builds are on my SF for anyone that's interested.
The MGA has the loosest rear end, the 550 sticks like glue, the Austin Healy is the most well rounded and the Lotus is just...wierd. Once I know who is interested I can set a time and date. It will have to be a weekend afternoon or evening due to my new work schedule. C'mon guys...the more the merrier.
If the time is right I'm in.
Healy...now that is kinda hard to turn down...even given all the problems I am having with Forza I could well be tempted out, depending on time...weekends tend to be a little full with GBR, 2O2R and SR4L .
Well, I hope you can join in. I am hoping to get my motherboard fixed/replaced soon and for the arrival of my copy of GTR2 so I can download the Power and Glory V3 mod. I recently learned of this mod and I'm chomping at the bit to play it.

I just recieved my copy this week and recieved 2 copies? sending the 2nd to knight....anyways the Power and Glory v3 mod is AWESOME!!!
Iam not gonna lie, even tho i suck and its hard as hell i just cant get enough of it :)
its quickly becoming my favorite race sim, even tho its an old game it still looks awesome and the attention to detail on the cars is top notch
Only knocks i give it out the box... a few of the cars are a bit understeery and i wish there was a tad more vibration in the wheel when going down the straights....but nothing a little tweak cant fix
All and all best $15 ive ever spent on a game, and if your a classic car guy its a most have in your sim collection :)
Let me know when you have everything up and going will set something up
Heh there is a whole host of fun mods, you will be like a kid in a candy store, but to be honest I cannot wait for the latest batch of sims to mature and get released, rF2 has just the most amazing FFB I have experienced, even given that it does not yet have a car that really rocks my boat I cant help firing it up at least once a day just to feel that connection to the car and road. Pcars looking good but long way to go to feel as good, and the dark horse Assetto Corsa an unknown other than some vids and screen shots.
Anyhoo as long as the time works I will be there for sure mate

Kurupt, I'll let you know as soon as my PC is up and loaded with those sims and mods. I won't know what car to drive first! LOL

That is right at the end of the 2O2R BTCC that starts at 2pm EST...could you go for half an hour or so later?
Yeah, Knight, 3:30 pm EST is good for me. I'll be around a bit today if anyone wants to try them out.

I'll send them over Tuesday after work and I will also be on if you want to try them out. They've been lots of fun with the wheel. The tunes are also on the SF.
the Cayman Races are at 5pm EST. Has that event time slot changed? I don't want to interfere with it.
Not yet mate but I know I will like the Healy...been sidetracked but will pick up the tune tomorrow.
Gave them a run tonight, the healy and porsche were the best, then comes the mga. the Lotus was a little hard to get a handle on.
Yeah, love the sound of the MG though. That twin cam sounds awesome.
Hmm, somewhat more tail happy than my other C class Healy which of course plays to my weakness RWD, faster top end, but could not catch my original Healy ghost with the tighter back end. Not helped by the FFB that is very snatchy...must have a tinker and see if I cannot get a smoother wheel response.
Yes. I remember driving your series car. I liked it a lot. I just tend shy away from aero with the older cars. For me, it just doesn't look right and they just would not have used it back then ( I don't think they would have). I would suggest softening the suspension a bit and possibly the differential but most importantly watch your throttle input.
Youll have to send me an unlocked tune then mate, though if you could tame that rear end a bit for me I would be in your debt, not having an ounce of tuning talent.
At least I have sorted the FFB, seems the bloody Xbox keeps seeing my wheel as a joypad and I have to keep restarting the wheel to get it to register.
And the paint I have is fit for purpose, I think it has just the right period feel so I may not be fast, but I will be classy :)
