Just posting a short log entry as it may be a few days before I post again.  Played a short amount of time last night, but I heard Mato (that's what I'll call her to make it easier) say during one of the games she was trying hard to keep her deaths down.  That was definitely a positive thing to hear when we play Team Slayer variants mostly.  She didn't have an improvement on her k/d (still .39)  but she did kick her w/l up to .45.  Obviously she's not really contributing to that too much at the moment.  I also had a better night last night as well, got my k/d back up to a 1.24 and I have a

Like clock work she started playing when she got home from work today.  I'm at the office when I receive this text message:

I've had this idea rolling through my brain for a few years now about a way you could merge the campaign and the multiplayer together to give the multiplayer aspect (the part I think most of us gamers prefer) a feel of progression.  It's not flawless by any means, it actually has some major obstacles to overcome.  But is it possible to merge the two?

Well, it's been a while since I've been just super active on this site.  I started out 2012 married for 18 years, a job I'd had for 7 years and a fairly nice house. I'm ending 2012 living with my girlfriend, working hourly contract and the house is gone.  It's been one crazy year, yep.  But with the exception of me not seeing my children as much, I think things are better.

The kids and I were stuck in the back bedroom yesterday while we had some new flooring put in.  I've had my NES in a drawer under the TV for a while now and decided to attempt to hook it up.  I was very surprised to find all the pieces there, hooked it up, found the gun and duck hunt nearby and began the traditional dance of blow-and-shove to get the cartridge to read in the system.  Before too long the kids and I were having high score contests shooting ducks on the game system now old enough to be a member of 2old2play!

And then I cry a little.

If you're not familiar with modern baby toys for some reason, they've started designing them to where if you touch it, it will play a song.  Then after a period of time it will make an additional noise to try to regain the baby's attention.  It may even say goodbye after that.  Every noise making toy my baby boy has does this.
