Gym Observations P. II

Besides the obvious, I can tell it is the beginning of a new year.  When I came into work the first day back from vacation, the lunch fridge was stocked full of Lean Cuisine.  Yeah, that'll last.

The other thing, is the huge influx of people in the gym.  I joined the gym before Xmas and hard started my working out then.  It was about a week before Xmas, and I went in, and there are 3 rows of elipitical machines.  There maybe 1-2 people per row.  Not a whole lot.

Now, I get off work at 4pm, so I beat the big rush that usually comes between 5pm-6pm.

Gym Observations

So, I bought a membership to a gym near where I work.  It's less then a block away, so I can just head on over there and get a work out in before I head home.

I've been told that if you've ever exercised extensively in your life, and then stopped for a long duration, and then came back, that your body will remember and adjust quicker then someone who has never exercised in their life and is just starting.

It's That Time of Year Again...

American Idol.

I don't even watch anymore.  I just wait to hear about it the next morning on the radio shows.

Here's some gems:

Just a few:

The Enema Within

(21 May 2004, Texas) Michael was an alcoholic. And not an ordinary alcoholic, but an alcoholic who liked to take his liquor... well, rectally. His wife said he was "addicted to enemas" and often used alcohol in this manner. The result was the same: inebriation.
