Snowboarding

After my first lesson and 4 hour lift ticket  only one word comes to mind.  OUCH!

Fun but pretty difficult to learn different things.  I have mastered going face first over the board and backside first over the board.  I have also mastered making everyone laugh as they are riding the lift up the slope.  I even got  a "10" for one of my crashes.  I also learned that the Tow Rope is evil.

I strength train and it never ceases to amaze me how a new task like this one taxes muscles you don't use much.  I could bathe in Icy Hot right now.

Do you think it matters?

We often have this argument going on amongst pyros as to what is the best way to build a mortar rack. We argue about materials, screws, adhesives, physics, etc. We argue the best way to minimize shrapnel. One, to save our skins, and two, to protect crap from flying into the crowd. Most of us have seen the aftermath of shells detonating inside the mortar, the mess, the injuries, and some have watched their fellow pyros expire in a flash. Alot of us still hand fire shows. We are up close within a couple feet of alot of explosives with a hot burning railroad flare or propane torch.
