Is it just me?
Or has the site been slow for a while?

Yeah Wally beat me to it. Its technically not a mini-skirt. I can see the protesters point of view: the clothing is not any more revealing than a standard apir of shorts. They basically dont like somebody telling them what they can and cannot wear; ie oppressing individual expression. A seperate debate would be school uniforms which I do support coincidentally, but Im just a walking contradiction at times.
I understand their skorts, my point is that it shows to much by the schools opinion. Rules are in place for a reason, some are stupid but none the less you have to follow them...not like them. Why the protest, its policy live with it. Uniforms=YES
This is typical for most parents in Western PA schools. Upper St. Clair is an Upper Middle /Lower Upper Class school district where they've been fighting over dress code for the past few years. It always amazes me that parents who won't come to school for open house or parent teacher conferences always have time to protest dress codes. It's like I'd rather my 10 year be able to dress like a Hooker than worry about actual education issues.\r
The kid's mistake is not wearing a Steelers mini-skirt to school no way anyone would have said anything about that. Hell around here you could get away wearing a Steelers Bra & thong to school because you're supporting the Stillers!
Some people LIKE their kids to look like whores. Go figure.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, we all have our \"senior\" moments where language, spelling, grammer, tempers, seem to leave our grasp. I sometimes wonder if my blogs are readable, lol.
My blog runs from reading to reality tv, so is that \"random\"?\r

Anyway: the timmies will show themselves up in the gaming. Now here's a question: is being a timmie age dependent or is it a state of mind? Would you deny a great kid the opportunity to game with us if s/he acted wonderful? Would you keep someone in who was 40 but acted like a jerk?
That's why this site was made. fill up your FR with folks from here and the childish behavior goes down a few notches. welcome.
Join a clan here, fill up your FL and take advantage of XBL parties. This way you will never hear the timmies.
Yeash I agree. I see alot of spam as well.
I'd agree.
Yes, it's so slow I can't even blog every day... Have to mind the blog-bar, afterall. ;-)
ah you mean people actually using the site.\r
\r
Yeah, I think clans continue to move further into their homes and away from the out side areas. \r
\r
I'm not sure its easy to get more activity around the site as a whole. In terms of actual member traffic though, there has been a steady amount for the last year+ and it never really changes. At any given time there are about 1000 members around the site. \r
\r
The big thing is really the games out and what they bring to the rest of 2o2p. If its something really new like Halo it brings a ton more member traffic around the main areas. But now that things have died down we are sort of left with a point of calm before the storm. I don't think we are going to see a lot more talk until Gears is out to be honest.
I've noticed new blog postings have dropped or at least that's my perspective just judging by how much time it takes for my avatar to disappear off the bar.\r
\r
General forums seem like not as many people are posting anymore. Hell, even clan forums i'm in seem pretty sluggish.\r
\r
So ya in terms of public participation on the site I'd say it has gone down. I'd expect people are more active in their clan forums but that's not even the case for the clans I'm a member of.
Takes a long time to show threads as having been read too. If you go to the first unread message in a thread and then back out. Refreshing still shows it has having unread portions.
Agreed. I think doodi nailed it that folks seem to be retreating to their clan pages, but even then my clan activity has slowed dramatically as well. And the established clans don't seem to be recruiting at all to keep things fresh. \r
\r
Also, and this isn't a knock just an observation, there is very little activity outside of the CoD/Halo/Gears discussions. There might be a thread or two when a new game comes out but then it dies off real quickly. (I'm looking at you Dead Space 2!)
