Maternity Leave
I want Canadian maternity leave...It's not fair for anyone involved that has to work with me when...
I feel like this:
Which makes me want to do this to everyone I'm around for the slightest inconvenience or stupidity..
I know I'll get about the same amount of sleep (couple hours) when the baby is here. Although, some of my friends said they actually got more than they did the last month of pregnancy. Either way, it has to be easier to wake up to take care of your baby instead of a POS bladder and pillow arrangements.

The problem with this post is about 2 years after they post something like this, women forget all about the hardships and start getting this wistful look in their eye whenever they see another infant or baby clothes in a window. Then they want another one and we husbands have to listen to it for another nine months. Y'all just forget how tough we husbands have it. Sarcasm is a wonderful thing.
how many weeks do you get in the states. My wife got 4 months paid by her company and a full year off before she needs to go back. its a pretty nice deal to tell you the truth but we do pay like 40% income tax.\r
Mid- Companies of a certain size are required to give 12 weeks of time off that is job-protected, not necessarily paid though. My company pays 8 weeks. The rest is unpaid. And then to get additional time, I'll be using some vacation. Better deal than a lot of US companies, but it's still not a year. \r

If I had a year, I'd start my leave right now. But when you only get 3-4 months, it's hard to take any time before hand since you want to save it all for when the babe arrives.
