I Played Halo And Had Fun

Doesn't seem like a big deal to most people but for me it is huge.  You see, I am not a Halo player.  Never learned to play it and sucked miserably at it.  I gave it up and moved on to games that I was decent at.  Last night I was playing Gears with a guy that I work with.  A couple of his friends jumped in and away we went.  We played 6 or 7 matches and it was horrible.  Lag city.  We were destroyed every match.  Some people will say to quit my bitching.  It just seems that if you are not host, you are in trouble.  I don't have these problems with COD games, my first love.  Why is this?

Playing With The Younger Generation

Not what you think.  Last night was clan night for 2old2shoot.  I have a guy on my friends list that saw me on and popped in the room.  He didn't know I was already playing with a group.  After the game, one of the guys in the clan asked if he was in 2old2play.  At that point I had to explain that my friend was only 14.  I met this kid playing Gears and he is a regular when I am playing with my Gears buddies.  He is not your typical 14 year old.  He normally doesn't speak.  Very polite.  A joy to play with.  He played a match or two against us and then switched over to Gears.  It just got m

Battlefield Bad Company

I just picked this game up.  Not sure why I didn't pick this one up when it came out.  I enjoyed the demo.  Must have been something else out at the time and I figured I wouldn't play it enough.  Anybody still playing this?  Did I just waste $17?  Any words of wisdom?  Anybody like small dogs dressed in drag?

Okay, I Am An Idiot

Now that we have that out of the way, could somebody explain something to me.  Let me start by saying I don't know a lot about Halo.  I finished the campaign in Halo 2 and 3.  I was so late to the party, I never got into the multiplayer.  My skills were so far behind everyone, it just wasn't a lot of fun for me to constantly die.  I did enjoy the campaign.  Here is my question.  What exactly am I getting if I buy ODST?  Is there a campaign?  Is there multiplayer?  New maps?  Old Maps?  I keep (half) reading things and I am confused.  What exactly is ODST going to have?  Thanks.

Dogs and Doves

I went and looked at a black lab pup.  My wife and kids said get it but I just couldn't pull the trigger.  Just not 100% sure we need a dog.  We are a busy family and I don't want the dog to get left behind.  Still debating.

Did get to go dove hunting tonight.  Finally got into some birds.  If I could shoot worth a crap, I would have limited out.  Since I suck, I only got 7.  Out of the 5 of us, I had the most but only because I was sitting in the right place.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
