Weird.

I'm home. After a long few weeks on the road I am finally home. And the worst thing that could happen to me has happened. I am bored. So bored in fact, I have accepted an invitation to a flea market in which, I quickly changed my mind and declined. Why I declined ties into the title of my post. But first, to help you better understand, I am going to throw some background at you. I, like most people who rent, have a roommate. I have known this person for over decade. We are comfortable around each other. We share similar taste in things. We are both responsible human beings.

I'm actually blogging.

It's funny what too much time to yourself does to you.  I never truly have ever got the urge to blog before.  Closest I ever came was a journal I kept during the war, but even so that was not for anyone else to see.  I once blogged about the death of Bobby Thomson.  What do you expect I am from Philadelphia, sports are my passion.  Anyway I think I am going to try this out.

Bobby Thomson 1923-2010

It was a sunny day at The Polo Grounds in post World War II New York. Back then the Dodgers were from Brooklyn, the Giants were from New York, and National League pennant games were played during the daytime. We have all seen the same timeless scenario in movies. Bottom of the ninth inning and the home team trailing, with hope fading away with every pitch the opposing team deals. With one out, runners on first and third, his team behind three to five, and a one-one count, Bobby Thomson swung away.
