I'm actually blogging.

It's funny what too much time to yourself does to you.  I never truly have ever got the urge to blog before.  Closest I ever came was a journal I kept during the war, but even so that was not for anyone else to see.  I once blogged about the death of Bobby Thomson.  What do you expect I am from Philadelphia, sports are my passion.  Anyway I think I am going to try this out.

Being single has kinda made me look at allot of things I never truly noticed about myself.  Ever since I first started dating girls I have never been single for this long.  But here I am at month number nine.  Nine whole months without another person influencing any and all decisions I make.  The amount of emotional responses I get about things I never cared about before are a little refreshing but at the same time a little puzzling.  I mean do not get me wrong it is kind of nice being able to buy and do most anything I want to without any consequence other than my bank account getting a little smaller.  But the stuff my brain has chosen to care or not care about is.........stupid.  Someone once said "You never truly know yourself until you have only yourself", which is fine I guess.  I just thought that it would bring bigger things into perspective.  Not the meaningless crap that most people know about themselves when they are eight years old and not twenty-eight years old.  Here is a small example, I found out I like Howard Stern.  I don't like people who cannot obtain information, and then formulate their own opinion on a subject.  (And no offence to FOX NEWS, but they are mostly the crowd who watches Glenn Beck)  I am not too crazy on the whole Vampire craze.  I like cats ( I have two now), but I still want a dog.  I despise the cast of Jersey Shore.  And I really enjoy reading about the Civil War.

Now I can already see the look of confusion on the faces of the people who have kept on reading this.  "What the hell is this dude babbling on about?"  would probably be an accurate assumption to what you are currently spewing out of your mouth.  Well let me say this.  Is that not the whole point of blogging.  I ramble on about stuff in my life and you read, then, you ramble and I read.  It is a beautiful (Man 28 years on this planet and I still spell that word wrong on the first time) thing.  It is kind of relaxing.

Back to current events.  I am coming home this weekend, for some much needed R&R and topping that off with some sweet Red Dead Redemption / Halo 3 action.  Then a short two week stent out only to return back home for a whole weeks vacation.  Unfortunately I cannot go anywhere so I have brought all the materials I need to make my apartment into a Tiki/Luau area.  Complete with drink umbrellas, string lights, beach chair, fruity drinks, Hawaiian shirts, and not to forget the Calypso music.  See you guys online.

Thats a good quote. I think more people should know themselves. The small things help us define who we are. Any particular part of the War for southern independence that you are into? People, place, events?

Seeing I am from PA I really am getting into the Battle of Gettysburg. I have been there once as a kid, I should go back.
