Halo 3: Improvement Techniques 5.) Grenade Jumping and Strafing

Today's subjects flummox a lot of people. They just don't understand exactly what strafing is, or how to do it properly. We're going to eliminate any confusion about that in this article while also further explaining the boundaries of maps and how you can expand them by grenade jumping. While doing this we'll explain what grenade jumping is, its drawbacks and its usefulness. Following this article I will go ahead and write Saturday's, so be aware another is coming today.

Halo 3: Improvement Techniques 4.) Weapons

Last blog I spoke about how (remember your team mate's position) and when (If you don't have the first shot on your enemy or are outnumbered) to run away from an encounter. Now I'm going to give you some advice that should allow you to charge the enemy more often and with more success. I'm going to tell you the basic strengths and weaknesses of the weapons (for those of you wanting a more comprehensive overview of the weapons, I'll be posting that sometime early next week), your grenades, and the beat-downs.

Halo 3: Improvement Techniques 3.) Self-Preservation

Self Preservation is a skill we all posess, but for some reason, we often ignore in this game. This is due probably to the misconception that the Halo series are just run N' gun games requiring little to no thought, and just the ability to aim and jump around like a jack rabbit. I'm here to prove to you this isn't the case, and it isn't as simple as it looks.

Halo 3: Improvement Techniques 2.) Recognizing Position

Yesterday I spoke about radar; how important it is and how to interpret it. Today I'm going to deal with other information readily available on your screen and how to process it. Remember, this is for beginners, or people new to the Halo universe.

Halo 3: Improvement Techniques 1.) RADAR

Since I've gotten my copy of Halo 3 I've noticed many of the people I have played with, and against, have been having a hard time competing, and as a result, haven't been having much fun. I'm going to try and help alleveiate that problem by doing a series of blogs addressing various ways of improving your game. This blog is intended for people who never really played Halo's 1 or 2, or true beginners if you will.
