My second son, Liam, was born this week.  He's nice an healthy at 7 lbs 11 oz.  My wife is doing great too, but it'll be a few months before I get the time to play online again.  I may still be able to jump on for a few minutes here and there but for the most part I'll be MIA.

So my guitar that game with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has been acting up lately, the tilt is starting to go out on it.  This is the only working guitar I have left so I figured it was time to replace it.  I looked on Amazon and happen to see the Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica on sale for $99 (regular price is $299 - actually already back up to about $150).  On a whim I decided to get it, I figured at that price if it lasts twice as long as the plastic controllers I've been using it is worth it.

I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. There's plenty of force, and I can feels bumps and things in the road but it just felt like there was a disconnect there. Almost as if the FF that was being relayed to the wheel didn't match what was happening on screen.

Well, I've finally gone and done it. I bought a PS3 yesterday. I have been on the fence about it for a while now, but my Uncle Sam gave me a bit of unexpected money last week (seems like there was a per diem in Djibouti I didn't know about).

So I got my Buttkicker as expected and it's all set up on the Playseat. I used the same method for mounting shown in this video. No pictures yet, I need to decide on the placement of the amp and wire everything properly. Right now it is all just thrown together for testing purposes.
