Normally on Thanksgiving I cook a turkey and we have people over for dinner. However, this year we received an invitation to join my friend Chris and his family and friends for our Holiday meal. Looking forward to sleeping in (I typically get up at 5am to start the bird), I was more than happy to accept. Of course, being the lover of food that I am, I could not show up empty handed. So I decided to cook up a batch of my "famous" (at least among my friends that is) Oyster Stuffing.

If you live in New England, then you know that a sunny warm day this late in November is a rare gift not to be wasted. So I did what any food junkie would do in such a situation - I uncovered the grill and got to cooking. My fiance hit up the local farmers market this morning and came back with some very nice free-range chicken breasts, some locally produced chicken sausage and an appetite. I decided to grill up the sausage and chicken breasts.

 I arrived home a bit early from work today and was met by my fiancé with a pork shoulder, some bratwurst and chicken and a request to make something "yummy". Knowing that the pork shoulder would take several long hours to cook properly, I decided to make two primary dishes, one for dinner tonight and one to carry us into the week.

Following my audition for Fox's MasterChef last weekend, I was contacted by Heather Atwood, a food blogger who produces a regular article called Food for Thought for the Gloucester Times online. Heather did a phone interview with me, recapping my experiences with the audition.

So I just returned from my audtion at the open call in Cambridge, MA for Master Chef USA season 3. I had a 1:00 pm audtion pre-scheduled, thanks to my online application and a twitter trivia contest that I answered.

While on a break at work today I saw a message on Twitter from my friend Tom, who runs the BostonTweet feed, about an upcoming open casting call for the next season of Master Chef . As many of you know, I am a HUGE Foodie (see pics of some of my creations below) and love to throw big gatherings where I invite my friends over to check out the classic arcade room in my basement and feed them great food until they pass out.
