Picked up a New Game for the Arcade Today

I have wanted a Bosconian for some time. This game is pretty hard to find "in the wild", so when I saw that a fellow collector from New York had one for sale for a reasonable price, I jumped on it. Thanks to the Massachusetts Arcade Game Underground Railroad, I was able to pick up the game in Western Mass and didn't have to drive all the way to the great state of NY to pick it up.

Now Back to Your Regularly Scheduled Program

What that you say? This is a video game website? You're tired of all the foody posts that I have been making lately? Well, perhaps you are correct. Now that my new web site is up and running, I will be focusing this blog back on the video game content on which is was built. Tonight I finally went back down into the basement and played some of my arcade cabs that have been sitting unloved as I worked on Cooking in the Great Outdoors (henceforce know as CITGO in this blog).

Site Under Construction

Great Outdoors Cooking site is going up slowly but surely. We hope to have the final edit of Episode I up on Friday. In the meantime, I am trying to teach myself Word Press in a week.

Cooking in the Great Outdoors Teaser Reel

OK folks, we are closing in on the debut of the new website for our web-tv series Cooking in the Great Outdoors. As my Produer and cinematographer Jeremy "JPNor" Pollard puts the final touches on editing of the full episode, here is a short preview of Episode I that covers my "Green-eyed Susan" recipe. Special thanks to Chef Geoffrey Zakarian for the inspiration for this dish.

Shots from Episode I of Cooking in the Great Outdoors

For those that may have missed my Twitter post with photos from the shoot for the first episode of Cooking in the Great Outdoors, here is a quick look at what we did. Note that this episode is focusing on using a grill and portable stoves to cook outside where there is easy car access. Subsequent eipisodes will focus on "ultra-light" backpacking stoves and pretty much the gambit between the two extremes.

New Cooking in the Great Outdoors Logo

One of my friends created another logo for my web-tv series Cooking in the Great Outdoors. Let me know what you think. I really like this one. Though I also really liked the one Proving made for us as well.

Video of a Recent 3.8 Million point game on Robotron

I have been realy busy with my Cooking in the Great Outdoors project and have not posted much about video games lately, so I figured I would throw up a video of a recent 3.8 million point game that I played on my Robotron arcade cab. Note that the game ends at just over an hour and fifteen minutes with the dreaded software reset that is common with this game.

10 Million Points on Robotron

OK, I usually despise people who double post blogs back to back, but I had to post this. I just broke my personal High Score on my Robotron arcade cab by getting 10,010,025 points in a single game (that's a little over 10 million points there). It took me right around 2.5 hours. This score would have me ranked 15th in the world according to Twin Galaxies.
