indiana

I'm about to embark to Indiana for the Stryker LAN (held quarterly, I think) that somehow turned into our big OMM LAN for the year.  There's over 20 people descending on Stryker's house in Indianapolis.  I believe we'll all be rolling up in Formula 1 cars w/ paint jobs we purchased w/ Microsoft Points.

Your Their

OK, the whole correct use of Your/You're and Their/There/They're really gets me.  Examples:

At a Mexican restaurant, I saw a sign that discussed how beer could be purchased by club members and "they're guests" instead of "their guests"

In chat today, someone "maybe your right" instead of "maybe you're (you are) right"

These are important distinctions.  And, the worst to me is the pure volume of incorrect usage that I see.  It concerns me as to the future of this country when we can't even use simple words correctly.

Their.  I said it.  Your welcome.

eHarmony

OK, I've made the leap into eHarmony - I wouldn't say I'm desperate (that's everyone else that likes to say that - I'm blissfully optomistic), I'd just say that the question of "where to meet good people" is just not easily answered to me by "at a bar" or "at church".  Even if I knew of a church with a bar...

Weekend

What if they'd chosen to call it Weekbeginning instead of Weekend?  Either one could've been used, I suppose.  Maybe even Weekmiddle.  But, we settled on Weekend to have something to look forward to, and then we can damn Monday all we want.

Bless us.
