Shared on Sat, 10/20/2007 - 20:55OK, I've made the leap into eHarmony - I wouldn't say I'm desperate (that's everyone else that likes to say that - I'm blissfully optomistic), I'd just say that the question of "where to meet good people" is just not easily answered to me by "at a bar" or "at church". Even if I knew of a church with a bar... well, ok, maybe... The idea of making a serious connection with a girl who I have to shout at to be heard over the blaring music while plying her with one overpriced drink after another, just doesn't sound appealing. Going to church singles class where - well, I'll save my real thoughts for myself on that count. So, I turned to the Internet. eHarmony happened because it seems more legit than some I've seen, plus has a nice guided process that leaves feelings out of it for awhile as you slowly get to know whether someone is a potential match. That word is key because chemistry will still be vital to me.
So, here's the reason for my blog - I was reading some profiles and I ran across one who listed as "Things I can't Live Without" these two top things: "Jesus Christ" and "Diet Coke". First - am I alone at thinking this stands out for some commentary? Is this really a "normal" answer? Well, anyway, I laughed and asked out loud which one has fewer calories and the two people within ear shot turned and said in unison, "Diet Coke".
All I'm saying, is that I don't think Jesus Christ has many calories. If Diet Coke really has less, it should be part of their marketing.
