Trials
"When the going gets tough, the tough gets going." Though this saying
never appears in the Bible, there is a lot of Biblical truth to it. We
would never know how strong we could be if our lives were always easy
and free of pain. It's impossible to build perseverance or character
without struggles and suffering. Hard times help us learn; they
stretch and challenge us.
Our perspective on trials can be positive or negative, and it
ultimately affects the outcome of our hardship. When we are confronted
by a trial and realize our limitations, God is glorified. We learn to
rely on him and give our worries to him, realizing our total
dependence on our heavenly Father. When our lives are easy, we can
lose sight of how greatly we need God.
God never leaves us during our hard times; he gives us the endurance
and faith necessary to match our trails. He has plan for our growth
and victory not for our defeat.
I am not over optimistic. I am thankful and trying to be the wife,
mother and child God wants me to be. I am blessed and I will NEVER be
anything less because of Jesus Christ. I am not perfect and I have a
lot to learn. But we have a 24 hour/7 day a week school with Jesus
where he teaches us new things every single day. Every new situation
that comes up and every trial and blessing that happens we should be
thankful because it will makes us even more thankful for what we do
have. The day we graduate is the day he calls us home. Until then we
should be thankful that he cares enough to keep teaching us even when
we fail his tests. I love you and I'm proud of you for who you are
what you are going to be. We need to let Jesus be our first resource
not our last resort.
