Good morning to you all. When I think of a sacrifice, I first think of
what Jesus did for us, the ultimate sacrifice. Although there is no
way we can follow Jesus in that way, we can sacrifice in other ways to
reflect what Jesus did for us. My biggest hold back, and my biggest
wall, is time. Sacrificing time is something we all struggle with, but
need to do. I have been doing my quiet time during my lunch hour, and
although it is good that I am doing a quiet time, I need to get back
to doing it in the mornings. Mornings are not my best time, but in
order for me to focus on God's word, I need to give him my first
fruit. That is when my attention is the greatest.
It is our responsibility to God and ourselves to be able to sacrifice
our bodies, money, thoughts, love and time in service to and for the
will of God. Remember, Jesus gave everything, so that we may have
eternity. Without his sacrifice, where would we be? I think you know
the answer to that question.
Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy,
to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to
God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
