New Releases: Week of September 30th, 2018

So I told myself I was done with Destiny. The Forsaken expansion was $50 and that was the nail in the coffin. I played other games and things were going well. Then a buddy of mine hit me up for some co-op and some crucible. The co-op was what it was...repetitive and boring but having a buddy to talk to while we went through it made it ok. Then we tried the crucible and got destroyed. We couldn't even make a dent. It was ridiculous. Again, I was done. Then he messaged me two days later saying he bought the expansion. I hopped on without but with him a few days after that and again got destroyed. I wasn't going to do it but I realized I would end up losing the good time I had playing with him if I didn't. So I ponied up the $50 and you know what? I am having fun, its good, challenging and the Tangled shore adds some extra space to the game. It's small though and I can see myself getting bored pretty quick but for the next month or so I will enjoy it.

However a couple games are coming out that are likely going to curb my D2 playing. Lets take a look.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Release Date: October 5th, 2018

I have 2 or 3 wrapped up AC games. I can't bring myself to play them anymore. Black flag put the nail in the coffin for me after the bad taste that AC 3 left in my mouth. I know Origins was supposed to be pretty good but i just coupldn't do it. I love the look of Odyssey and I hope one of you play it as I am willing to bet it will be a great game.

Forza Horizon 4
Platforms: PC, Xbox One
Release Date: October 2nd, 2018

I have Xbox Game Pass and I have been waiting patiently for this game for a while now. I can't wait to get my hands on it and then drive really slow around Britain. As the one and only Motor Ed once said "The faster the ride the slower the glide!"

Super Mario Party

Release Date: October 5th, 2018

These kind of games always seeem like they will be a crapton of fun but for some reason they devove into frustration in the soup household. Still want to give Super Mario Party a try. the linking of two Switch consoles?!?! That's pretty cool!
