New Releases: Week of May 15th, 2022

I'm stealing a phrase from Coffee here - > Covid Memoires: We made it 2 years and 2 months without contracting Covid-19 and then last week Mrs. Soup and I came down with it. The kids have more or less locked us in the basement (we sneak out when they are not home) and while the basement is a great place to watch movies and play video games, it kinda sucks to work out of. Unfortunately, I think I have a least another week down here. Mrs. Soup took a test yesterday and it was a faint line so I was feeling good about my chances...but to coin another phrase...the covid is strong within him(me).

What I find really odd is how different our symptoms have been. I have energy but am coughing and breathing deeply is difficult. Mrs. Soup is still feeling tired and worn out but other than that she is doing ok. She never had a cough and breathing isn't a real problem for her.

On the bright side I have played a ton of games this week. I even am charging the PS4 controller and will likely have to sit through an hour long update on that damn thing as I should probably finish or put some more time into Spiderman this week and maybe even Horizon Zero Dawn. I have my older gaming laptop down here too (which I am using the write this damn fine article!) so that may be another outlet.

We have each had 3 shots and we were due for our 4th but just got lax about it...that'll learn us!

Sadly, with all this time to play games there is just one game on the radar this week it seems. Let take a look at it!

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong
Release Date:
May 18th, 2022
Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, XSX/S

A narrative RPG is how Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is described. The trailer gave a bit of an intro to the story and maybe the three characters you play but I am not sure what is really going on here. A new blood supply, someone's not happy, vampires bite people, looks like vampires are dead...by gunshot? I never got into the lore of Vampire: The Masquerade throughout any of its iterations but this has me somewhat curious. If you did then maybe this is for you!
