New Releases: Week of March 28 2021

It’s feeling like spring in New England but probably should stay inside a bit longer.  Good thing there’s lots of different stuff coming our way this week.  Outriders does come out on April Fools day but pretty sure it’s legit!  Of the options, I’m most excited for the Disco Elysium: Final Cut upgrade to add voice acting to the game.

I started this game a while ago and enjoyed it but all the reading wasn’t so great on a large screen from far away. I stopped playing when this upgrade was announced since the small text problem is solved with the addition of voice acting for all that pesky reading.  The upgrade also includes new levels and quests. But wait there’s more! It’s all free if you already purchased the game.  If you haven’t played I highly recommend checking it out!  Great story and interesting skill system.

Nice to see some playable evil genius lady characters and why don’t I have that sweet skull conference table in my house?!  In this RTS simulation game you’re “tasked with constructing a criminal lair on a tropical island in order to build a doomsday device secretly while operating a casino as a cover.” What could go wrong?!

This neo-retro symphonic quest is very 80s. It’s an indie platformer with a story that sounds a bit Tron like.

Is whatever song is in the trailer for this game a new genre of music that’s only in ads for shooter games?!  Square Enix is publishing the title from Polish developer People Can Fly. They  ramped up their team from 40 to 200 people to make the game.  It’s a story driven 3rd person RPG which can played single player or up to 3 players in co-op.  It’s player versus environment as opposed to player versus player.
