New Releases: Week of March 22nd, 2020

A great time to be an introvert some might say.  A bevvy of new games coming out, VR games are getting better and better all the time. (Clarified to games, I am sure other VR entertainment is advancing too but I don’t want to steal any other site’s thunder.)  Amazon delivers, more food options are now delivered, when you want something at Best Buy you now get curbside service like a Rockstar… since only employees are allowed in store now.  No reason for regretting doing our part and staying inside since we are seen as being responsible and doing our part to mitigate the spread of an infectious virus.  You don’t have to feel bad about saying no I won’t attend your wedding to people… and if they try to give you crap you can call them an irresponsible spring breaker with no regard for the weak immuned.  Yes, my introvert friends, now is our time to not shine and be duller to our hearts content.  The world’s unsung heroes.  When this whole thing is over, we will emerge from our fortresses of solitude and help President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho fix the world from its future state of disrepair!  (movie reference: “Idiocracy”)

Bleeding Edge
Release Date:
March 24, 2020
Platforms: PC, Xbox One

4 VS 4, melee brawler, think Overwatch style.  It looks like it needs some tweaks and some more development based on reviews but if you enjoy games like Overwatch… you might like this one.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4
Release Date:
March 27, 2020
Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch

Action-adventure, beat ‘em up.  Reminds me a lot of Dynasty Warriors’ games where you plow thru hordes of enemy fodder.

Half-Life: Alyx
Release Date:
March 23, 2020
Platforms: PC

Valve is a widely known company for being our Steam Overlords.  But also… a game studio that brought us Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Portal, Left 4 Dead and more.  I mentioned VR earlier too with good reason.  VR is most likely the only way to play this game.  Gorgeous graphics are available… depending on your own pc’s limitation.  I don’t own a VR setup, but I just might take that dive to enjoy this gem!

So, this is the part where I tell you to stay home and stay healthy… but if you are able too, you are probably already doing that like Rockstars.  When we come out of this remember that soil doesn’t need electrolytes, just water.  (movie reference from “Idiocracy”)
